Batman:
like this article, i was told japan don't test people, and we all expected Japan to have massive mortality,
but it was one of the first countries infected after china and nothing seems to have happened. no panic, no airport checks, no nothing checks, no people walking around in hazmat suits, no shutdown, no physical distancing, life just went on as normal.
maybe we need to learn something from them.
“Italy’s mortality rate is almost triple Japan’s,” said Yoko Tsukamoto, a professor of infection control at the Health Sciences University of Hokkaido. “Part of the reason is if you get tested, you get quarantined, so it means that they don’t have enough beds for relatively nonsevere patients.”
Everyone there is wearing a mask.
How could we even start to copy them when no one except those of Asian descent are wearing them?
Also, they hospitalised everyone with a positive test ( my cousins were on that boat and were only just released from hospital even though they weren't ill) yet we are allowing people to self isolate when any one of those people could be slipping out at any time ?
