I said that because I did not want to blame the labour party alone.  Theirs is a coalition if you had not known.  We need all political parties involved.  There's been very little inclusion of the other two parties not in govt.

Thats good to clarify that. You wish to blame everyone equally...  You seem to know more than them all put together.

BTW, brush up on the coverage. When major changes were announced these were cross party, mentioned by PM. And some (not 100%) involvement in discussions. Why? Unlike your posts, its non partisan

A letter is being signed now by doctors (only) up and down this country requesting that the Govt move immediately to Phase 4.  And yes, I signed it.

So would I if I was a doctor.

Thank you for that. I am in self imposed isolation. I am trying not to bug my doctors at this time. I confess I have a lot of anxiety and isolation will lead to depression.

What about your family, Mike? Are you also isolated from them?

This is going to be the... deepest... recession: Great Hill Capital

Yahoo Finance

As COVID-19 continues to strike fear with investors, the virus sends states into a stricter lockdown and the economy into a tailspin. Yahoo Finance's Julia LaRoche and Seana Smith report on how COVID-19 is causing massive layoffs and economic hardships.

Also, Great Hill Capital Chairman Thomas Hayes joins Seana Smith on The Ticker to discuss how the virus will impact the economy and a severe recession.

I really do wonder if people who should be self isolating , including those that came in before the deadline, are all self isolating. There wasn't a requirement to before the deadline from all countries, but after the borders were closed, the Prime Minister then said all incoming visitors should self isolate for the balance of 14 days they have been inside NZ.  I would also expect any workplace to require it after this Prime Minsiter said this, due to the workplace risk.

True, but why are aircraft landing and bringing more in? To date, they allow them in, we count them a few days later at 1pm. There isn doctor petition asking fir Alert Level 4. We are aghast at the 14 or so per day we see. Where do they come form? The airport. Surely we close the airport and while there, we also shut down domestic flights, see how that goes.

We allowed that spike of possible cases by letting those back without self isolation last week, I think most of us thought that was a bad move then, and in hindsight JA has asked them to self isolate as well, a bit late for that...

From what I can make out the number of flights will be dwindling and probably more manageable, there is no need to stop them, just make sure that they are abiding by the isolation... my 73 year old mother will be on one of those flights in the next few days, I'm sure that news of old ladies being forced out on the streets in a foreign country, just because we wouldn't let her home and lock her in her house would be great...

Eeeep...Also mentions Americans stockpiling ammo.

For the second half of video, Cuccinelli, the Acting secretary of "Department of Homeland Security", seems evasive, untrustworthy and trying to pass the buck. Cuccinelli is an immigration hard-liner and a President Trump favorite.

He famously suggested the Statue of Liberty poem be changed from "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

to

"Give me your tired and your poor who can stand on their own two feet and who will not become a public charge,"

They should have required it was backdated to get all those people who bet the deadline, were made to go into self isoaltion, and not just asked of them. CT in Oz was also ready occurring at that stage.

well if you have the choice of going out of business and or trying to carry on to survive , there is only 1 choice for the NRL

Yet most other leagues are shutting down totally for the year or suspended.

The ridiculousness of whole states being locked down but 13 man professional rugby has to carry on like it's a crucial civil function is patently stupid.
