Quite possible if lots of workers in the supply chains are away from work with Covid or in isolation. We have already had issues in some industries with lack of workers.

Jab 3 today. Hopefully no swollen lymph nodes like a workmate.

First fail was lining up at lunch before realising they opened at 130.. that one was on me. So went at 440 to beat the after work rush.

Would have been great had my number not be up in the summited form fail lottery too.

50mins after registering and basically the entire waiting hall being replaced twice. And My starting to question how there was an apparent endless supply of booked people being bumped (check-in lady did say there may be a wait with a full waiting hall..) Someone realised I had been there the entire time and followed up. No sign of me in the virtual lobby..at all

Many apologies later I was rushed through :/
So not the best walk up at the largest chc centre. Hour and half end to end. But ah well :)

Orchard rd now has nurse jabbing and a admin doing the tick boxes and authority at same time. Then starts the wait timer soon as it's in to save you extra time transferring to the hold area.

They did warn me might get slammed with headaches and lethargic temp if I dodged the bullet on first two (did other than slight tired after no 2)

Has anyone who has had their booster shot and whose Dr/Medical Centre uses the ManageMyHealth app seen the details turn up there? Had my booster shot on 14 Dec (6 months since 2nd) and while the first two show in ManageMyHealth, no sign of the booster details.

Might need some left hand talking to right hand updates.

At least here where CDHB is using the record system directly (and thus mycovidrecord.nz), it was updated by the time I sat down for my 15 that it had been administered.

Which I've subsequently been able to send off to those that need to know to update records.

FYI - if using mycovid record. Request the international record once you have #3. The QR code can't be scanned by much other than an IATA programmed one (so employers might scratch head being unable to verify it) but it also has the most recent date down the side, and total number administered - IE 3.

Had my third yesterday at the Māngere drive in centre.  No wait, no appointment.

Arm a bit sore and a bit of a headache (but that could be due to the crap sleep last night).  Went for a 9km run this morning and my pace was about 30 seconds slower per km.

Have my booster booked in for Tuesday. Had my first shot in March, second in April so well due for it. Would have had it this week but I'm in the process of moving cities and need to sort my life out before I run the risk of a 3 day lethargic crash :E

I'm keen to know what's happening in other people's workplaces here in NZ.

We're planning to reopen our offices next Monday, they've been closed since we went into level 4 last year. The details are still being finalised and will be shared with everyone before the end of the week but there are a few things that I am expecting.

  • Returning to the office is encouraged but not required. Time in office vs WFH to be agreed between individual and direct leader
  • We are not making vaccination a requirement for being in the office
  • 1M distancing at all times
  • Masks not required when working alone at desk but are required in all common areas (lunch rooms, restrooms, meeting rooms)
  • Meeting room capacity will be adjust accordingly to distancing requirements
  • I'm sure there will be other requirements

Personally I'm no rush to return to the office. My understanding of the traffic light system is that at Orange you should still WFH if you are able to. I'm not due for my 3rd shot until early February so I'm only planning to go into the office for important meetings until then.

Was walking along Lambton Quay in Wellington last Friday and saw a Unichem Pharmacy was taking walk-ins and there was no line. So stopped by and registered and within 5 minutes I had had my third shot. The obligatory 15 minute wait and then I left. I did notice that the Covid vaccine record had been updated so it must have been done when I registered.  Arm a bit sore a few hours after and for a couple of days following but nothing really uncomfotable.

Staying in Wellington. Check out my AirBnB in the Wellington CBD.  https://www.airbnb.co.nz/h/wellycbd  PM me and mention GZ to get a 15% discount and no AirBnB charges.

I know many unrelated people overseas that have been getting covid-19. Prior to omicron it was only a few. Many of the fully vaccinated. Some of them with boosters.

The numbers are actually pretty scary.

They are talking half of Europe in the coming 6-8 weeks.

I can't wait for this pandemic to be over on so many levels.

Yes I've had my booster (on 20th December) and no it's not showing in ManageMyHealth, although my original two doses are.

Seems like I need to have a chat to my GP practice.
Sigh

Manage My Health has never worked right since it started. I wouldn't be too quick to blame your GP.

The Practice Nurse SMSed me:

Do not be concerned that the booster shots are not visible on MMH. They are not yet visible on our system either. This is to do with software development. If you have had your booster this is great. It will be visible on our system in time.

Sigh
