I ordered a monitor from PB tech on Tuesday which was still in the 'picking' stage last night. I sent them a message asking them to cancel and refund the order if they were not able to deliver the monitor in the next week. This morning I received an email saying my order had been cancelled and I'll receive a refund.

I imagine it’s possible to just order from outside New Zealand if you can’t get what you want here?

Aliexpress is working fine. 10yr anniversary sale in a couple of days

Yes, you can order but you won't receive your goods for months.

NZ post has been so sh*t for my AlieExpress orders this year it's really hard to tell any difference so far.

They've still got one that says delivered on March 3rd.

Nespresso is still delivering and taking orders.

Even reduced the minimum order (To 5 sleeves from 10 normally) for free delivery overnight. (May be longer due to Courier restraints)

Theos Fish shop on Riccarton Road, Christchurch are open as apparently they are regarded as an essential service!

I certainly wouldn't go there!

From Stuff:

Mad Butcher outlets were open on Thursday despite the Government saying that butchers were not essential businesses.

The company sent out an email to customers on Thursday morning saying that it was open for business.

Don't go there!

Vodafone is claiming that the vodafone tv box can still be ordered - and the price is down to $149.

Post haste are claiming to continue operating Pass the Parcel (Used to be a choice for TM purchases)

I think there are also some manufacturing industries that are still getting employees to work as it's a lower risk of them getting exposed as non-essential businesses, as they're not public facing shops...

Vodafone have an exemption as they are an essential service - so can order online. presumably Vodafone TV is just fulfilled via same channels.

Probably like most other computer gear companies have had the hard word to close up shop apart from business.

I know the ones I ordered a few things on Monday, they never got shipped dispite their site saying we are still shipping. Many of them were updated today to say essential only and provide a form etc

My understanding of the lockdown was if we separate for a period of time we will be able to get some sort of a handle on this virus. It seems to me that a lot of people are trying to find workarounds to continue on pretty much as normal. Why is that? Do they not believe what we are being told by the doctors and scientists ?

I have to say I was surprised that the likes of Noel leemings online biz is closed down same with warehouse it seems.

The couriers are still working

Countdown online is working 7day ahead booking at present.

New World is better I imagine that wont last when others find out about it.

I put in an online order with Countdown a while ago and everything arrived 5 days later just fine. Even the frozen goods were still nicely frozen and the packing was very good also.

But, as you say, there is now a delivery delay of 7 days and even then it's hard to get a slot if you try later in the day. I recently got a slot for 7 days ahead by going online at 7am and it was the last one available, so perhaps the new slots each day become available after midnight?

Anyway, yesterday I decided I needed a couple of extra items and I thought I would go back online and change the order. But, with Countdown, this is not an easy task as you can't do it yourself, you have to ring customer service.

So, I did that and was told I was 58th in the queue and every few minutes I'd get an update that said I was now 56th etc. But, at the speed I went up the list I would have been waiting for about 90 minutes, so I did what they wanted and gave up! But a friend who shops with New World says she can make alterations to her order any time up to midnight on the day before the order is due to be delivered, which is great compared with Countdown! Do you think Countdown should increase its customer service staff if they won't allow you to change your orders online?

So, has anyone here had satisfactory online experiences with supermarket places other than Countdown and New World?

I ordered an electric skateboard for my son's birthday on Tuesday...company in ChCh that I bought it from managed to get it on a courier Wednesday and it has shipped...but PBT tracking hasn't updated since the "in transit to AKL" stage.

I'm guessing it'll sit in the dispatch warehouse in AKL until after the 4 week lockdown now.

Poor kid has been looking forward to his birthday for quite some time and was planning on using birthday money to buy the board - hence my last-minute order.
