They are not essential. Bars, cafes, restaurants and takeaways serviced are to close this Wed 11.59pm. Food suppliers are supermarkets and meal kit services (My Food Bag, Hello Fresh, etc).

I do have a real difficulty regarding the meal kit services above as essential. They started off as a convenience for affluent time poor people. Having time shouldn't be a problem for anyone over the next few weeks and/or months.

Equally, the Warehouse stays open? Where does it stop.

You can wear dish washing gloves, and you can put a t-shirt over your head, cut out eye holes for sunnies, and breath through the T-shirt. 100% cotton gives 60% of the performance of a surgical mask.   if you're really worried, a disposable rain coat from the local $2 shop costs about $3.50 (inflation), and you can spray it with bleach when you get home.

Yes you can, I posted above there are video showing Japanese making masks from kitchen tower. But again, still, they are not ready to purchase when people needed so it is not enough for everyone.

Meal kits serve a purpose. Some people can't cook. They need to follow recipes. Seriously. And these are healthier options than fast-food. If you are going to be at home you will have the time to cook. No excuses.

Yesterday there were people shoulder-to-shoulder at McDonald's Jville. If McDonald's and others are open for this kind of behaviour that's not a lockdown.

As for The Warehouse, I agree, it's dumb.

Id align Food Bag etc as online grocery shopping. Online grocery shopping is ok,safer than real time shopping. Im still not 100% sure what non food online shopping is allowed, as that means workers go to work for a non essential business, which I thought isnt allowed

I have removed "gun talk" from the last five pages. You won't be talking about killing people in here.

No, it is not required here. But from media in China/Japan/Korea where the 3 country got things under control, they are saying masks is playing a important role. I feel to believe them instead western media since there might be a chance they claim masks is not required because they can not supply it.

Like I posted here before, there are people carrying the virus but totally normal, everything they touch, things coming out from their mouth/nose will transmit virus.

They provide Food, they are essential services.

dreaming. people are stretching the meaning of essential services something chronic to try and fit their narrative and to be able to stay open and keep business.

The warehouse is a joke, they barely even have food there any more. and most of it is crap. if they are open then that is the only thing they should be selling. not play stations not toys not clothes just food.

so many people claim to be able to want to stay open, and this is just going to keep this thing dragging on and on.

Just close, its 4 weeks, i we do it once and do it right its done. if not then we will just keep going and going till we get it right.

Its fairly obvious at this point the 4 weeks of "self-isolation" will be extended. People still aren't taking it seriously enough. The government need to stop being soft and call it what it is. A lock down. Maybe then people would take it more seriously. And the lock down needs more restrictions they need to be more firm. People need to close down there stores and stop trying to find ways to stay open and bypass the lock down.

What is getting to me is the dependency. I am high risk though reasonably fit and I am scrupulously following the rules. I have people willing to help, but because of where I live it is a major hassle for them to come out here. And as I keep realising, it is not just about food. I can't take my cat to the vet (my cat is an essential support animal) and I can't refill the gas bottle for cooking. God knows what else will come up. Every time I turn around, there is something else I have always taken for granted and am perfectly capable of doing for myself, but now I have to go through all kinds of complicated arrangements to get someone else to do it for me. I am not complaining, just pointing it out. Things that used to be easy have become a lot harder. It is like being a small child again, except I am not.
