Another issue is how well the camera hardware works with different versions of Android. I think there are more camera software bugs with Android than Apple.

Is there any way to have the app open the 'register a visit' page by default? It is what I want to do 99% of the time I launch the app.

I've submitted feedback, but just checking I haven't missed a setting somewhere

:P

I note A4 printed QRs appearing. Z, Countdowns with different logos - particularly a new Ministry of health logo bottom right.

In addition (or replacing taken down ones!) MBIE appears they have emailed lots of people who previously registered a pre-made PDF and requested they continue or start to use them, to save them logging in and completing the process.

You have to keep using it all the time - you might need information from fourteen days ago.

KEEP USING THE APP.

I have a detailed diary on my Google timeline.

I gave up on the app after it failed scans at four consecutive locations ... but will give it a second trial now.

That doesn't help if you don't get a detailed list of locations to check. The app automates the process.

Please folks, stop finding excuses. The app now has a Manual Entry option.

I just registered the tracing app on my phone.

Requiring a ten character password is overkill. Another case of perfection being the enemy of the good.

But it doesn't automate it, it is manual, and even more manual.

At least the more manual option will stop the annoyance of QRs that dont scan.

Keep it on hand. There is a 30 day 'please re-enter' token per the 'security advice' they followed coding.
