Ok, looks like end of Thursday for The Warehouse's online store to be running

Also, PB Tech's definition of essential vs non-essential is weird.. for example they class the HP Z27" monitor as non essential therefore you can't add to your cart.. yet plenty of other monitors are available to add to your cart.

Why are supermarkets open in Easter Sunday? They are closed every year, now we are in lockdown they are open. They are already open 7 days a week, 8am to late. Why not give the employees a break?

Because people are idiots, and can't plan. They have Easter Friday closed.

If they close them both days, people will panic buy.

Half of NZ could stand to miss a meal or two, me included.

My guess is it's related to what they have in stock and what suppliers are operating? I.e. if whoever they buy the HP Z27 from isn't dispatching stock during the lockdown and PB don't have any on hand then it makes sense that they won't let you order it.

I agree. They are closed every other year and we survive OK. Can't see why this year should be any different. For many New Zealanders Easter is as significant perhaps more significant than Christmas.

and every year are there restrictions on the number of people in a store? are their limited hours? are their 2m space rules? are their checkout operators taking longer to process people due to all the safety measures in place.

Easter Saturday and Easter Monday are always busier than normal Saturday and Mondays.

Trying to fit 7 days of shopping into 5 days.

use your head man. times are different rules need to be different.

you just dont seem to get it.

Oh I get it alright.

We actually now squeeze 5 shopping days plus a late night into 7 days.

Once upon a time there was never a problem fitting the shopping into 5 and a bit days, every week, and no shopping at all between close of business on Easter Thurday through to the opening of business the following Tuesday.  It's all a state of mind.

While Jase is correct that its a different time right now, that also applies to supermarket workers. The other factor is that many people are stuck at home so have more flexible hours to go, and those that have to work from home also have bit more time, no commuting. Given all that, it seemed a good idea to give the workers who have supported us, and are in the front line of risk, a bit of a break.

Yes, so I do get it, Jase.

At this stage, it seems the deliveries are being made to all destinations that are possible/accessible. Indicative delivery times may be longer though.

My PB Tech order (I ordered it when we were still in level 2...) shipped on the 24th of May and is still at the Courierpost East Tamaki depot. :(

I am really curious how Harvey Norman can sell some gaming headsets like the turtle one for 35 but not a playmax one. They have also bumped their prices up over night as well, I was looking at an Astro headset for Xbox $87 last night $115 this morning .
