Time to make it law to have your kids vaccinated?
I was wasting time on YouTube when I came across a comment from someone about how being infected with Measles actually affects your immune system for some time making you more susceptible to other infections for weeks or much longer.
https://www.princeton.edu/news/2015/05/07/deadly-shadow-measles-may-weaken-immune-system-three-years
So being vaccinated, eliminates this as well as stopping you get measles in the first place.
I am not usually one for making absolute statements about people, however, this is one of the two topics I feel requires no leniency:
Unless you do not vaccinate your children because they have a legitimate medical risk that would threaten/end their lives, you are a class A selfish IDIOT.
There are people on the planet who would *actually* die if they were immunized, and the only way they can survive is if everyone who won't, does vaccinate. Herd Immunity is their only protection. You aren't just protecting the lives of your kids if you vaccinate, you are protecting the lives of the people who legitimately can't.
Also, in case you are in any doubt, and this contains swearing so is probably NSFW but:
Also, for the record, because this was once said to me, that if my kid died as a result of getting a vaccination I wouldn't feel so confident, I can assure you, I would vaccinate my other kid without hesitation.
irongarment: There is a measles outbreak in Canterbury. Three cases in Christchurch and Rangiora. None were vaccinated.
I saw some stupid person commenting it served them right. I thought this was one of the dumbest things I'd read in a long time, and believe me, that's saying something, but it doesn't serve the kids who are suffering right, they had no say in the matter.
I wouldn't wish that on anyone, or the parents.

Report it. Mods will take appropriate action. I presume he was being sarastic and didn't bother with /s to indicate, if not see my comments above that deal with it :)

Fyi.. "a teenage boy, a man and a woman in her 40s..."
The irony is. Most of these people doin 'reessurchhh'. Are all old enough to have likely had all the jabs as kids themselves. And not the further refined versions we have now at that.. Yet all of a sudden the internet tells me it's a problem. Palm-face
I have read that a lot of schools now ban children who aren't up to date with vaccinations. So if all schools did that, it potentially could solve the problem.
nakedmolerat: I think most here need to open their eyes and understand how dangerous vaccination is. The chemicals in vaccines cause obesity, premature diabetes, premature hypertension and global warming.
