Another high milage TM3 in the UK and it's in very good condition it seems.

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Dingbatt:

The bonnet is so lightweight and flimsy, there are special instructions on how to close it so you don’t dent it.

That's becasue it's a large non-structural aluminium panel which only exists to improve aerodymanics (and keep stuff dry). It's much lighter than a typical steel bonnet.

THIS might have something to do with it…

Has anyone found the forward collision braking is more sensitive after a recent software update? I have it on the lowest setting, and twice recently when accelerating out from an intersection into a gap it had decided to brake because of the car I was pulling up behind quite quickly making it make lots of brake noise and slow down aggressively making it look like I am brake checking the person I pulled out in front of instead of nicely merging into the gap infront of them.

I’m very unlikely to purchase a Tesla when it comes time to replacing our Model Y. And, yep, that’s mostly driven by my thoughts on Musk. Given there are many things I like the look of with the new Y, and generally love owning and driving a Tesla, that could be frustrating. (Queue critiques of ‘wokester showboating’…!)

And in the meantime...

Stickers like that are just cringeworthy in my very honest opinion.

Do I like their vehicles? Yes.
Do I like the prick at the top? No.
Am I going to go putting stickers on my car? Also no.

Exactly. I'm not a fascist, I didn't vote for a fascist, and anyone that says I must be one just because I own a particular brand of car is just part of the problem. I'm not going to go putting silly stickers on my car to beg people not to jump to conclusions.

All I ask is that if some numbnuts is going to vandalise my car merely because of its brand then they do me the courtesy of making sure it's written off so I can replace with not-a-Tesla. Otherwise all they're doing is making Elon even more money when the panelbeaters buy more Tesla parts to fix it.

People could buy a BYD instead and support a regime that crushes dissidents like Uyghurs and Falun Gong in detention camps?

I agree about choices. I would choose to buy a Tesla rather than a Chinese EV than that reason.

But NZ Teslas are made in a Chinese factory.

Ah, in that case you need the anti fascist, authoritarian communist, genocide  sticker 3 pack.

Way too big for a bumper sticker. I suggest a roof mounted sandwich-board for that one.
