Car audio as in calls or media playback?

I found that the media audio was flakey sometimes on my android but swapping source on the car to radio and back made it come right. Calls have never given me a problem but I tend to disconnct that as the phone doesnt respect DND with bluetooth devices and still makes audio playback pause on the car when a call comes in.

Both. Just saw a Reddit post from about 9 days ago saying the same thing - apparently a soft reset (hold down both buttons) fixed it for that poster so I will try that this afternoon.

Had no cellular data thismorning in the car, had to hotspot it to my phone. Normally when I get in and there is no cellular it still shows signal bars and comes right shortly after leaving home and the wifi. But this time it has the bars greyed out and never came back. When at work and I turned the hotspot off, still no data.

Will try a reboot if its still like that before I leave work, but it seems that the data has been more and more flakey recently, anyone else seeing the same thing. I was sitting on 3g not lte when on the north western motorway and no music playback a week or so back.

My cellular data has been flakey in spots (particularly West Auckland) ever since I have had the car. I admit it’s been sitting in the garage for a couple of days so can’t speak to the latest outage.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the Australian roaming sim that the car came with? I assume that is the case, since I get served Australian ads when I use YouTube on it.

I submitted a service request in the Tesla app and they responded saying they were experiencing an outage today

Apparently Spark had a roaming issue that caused Tuesday's outage, since all NZ Tesla's use an Aussie Telstra SIM that roams in NZ, and apparently prefers Spark?

How do you get access to that kind of support? I am happy when they answer in app.

I wasn’t special. I booked a service appointment to fix premium connectivity and they called to explain and cancel 24 hours later. They were run off their feet.

I see Tesla are saying they will have fool self driving here in NZ soon.

NZ roads are probably much less suited for this than US ones, and they can not even get it to work in the US safely.
From Teslas position its ideal, we have ACC and they won't be sued for tens of millions for wrongful death.

Heh! "fool" self driving - that's quite funny.

Self driving might work OK on motorways but more rustic NZ roads without bold paint lines on the road edge and center line will be a no-go.
