I can't understand how that guy thought he was ok to enter the roundabout. Makes me think he was on his phone or something.

Left hand comes flying up from down around the centre console area so a definite possibility.
@Ruphus good to hear no one hurt. I take it the car's still good to drive?

The muppet who was holding their phone while coming to stop at the lights, then very young child stands up on front passenger seat with no seatbelt while mum(?) proceeds to take selfie and then drives off. Jeepers, no care for their lives at all.
This is where I don't like the Geekzone wording "you support this post". I do not support that post at all! 😨

Guy driving on the right side of the motorway all the way from Johnsonville towards Porirua, at 90 km/h obviously, indicating already he is an idiot. Almost passing the fork to SH1 Transmission Gully (which is the two leftmost lanes) he puts the foot on the brake and slows down to 30 km/h in the fast lane, waiting for cars going straight through to Porirua (blue arrow) on his left lane to pass, and then crossed four lanes to exit (orange arrow).
30 km/h on the fast lane. 30 km/h on the fast lane.
Yes, he was so late he went over the marking arrows on the road.
What an idiot.

I see that far too often, although usually people don't slow right down. They just carve across the lanes at full speed. One such person hit my brother's car doing that same thing. Wrote it off. A bit sad that people are too selfish to just go on to the next exit and turn around and would instead risk people's lives.
People paying no attention when driving, i get very worried about the increasing number of drivers doing this.
Good grief. Audi driver in front of me, going around a blind corner on a narrow road... with about 40% of the car on the wrong side of the centre line. I hung back, just in case.
Just missed an old git in a mobility scooter who belted across the road in front of me and others.
Lucky I was going slow otherwise he would have been a goner .
Why he did not go down the street a bit and use the crossing at the light I don't know, its not as though he has to walk down there.
I was out on my Spyder today. Arrived at a T junction, intending to turn right, so positioned myself to the right of my lane, near the centre line and was braking gently to a stop at the solid line, prior to checking traffic etc.
As I rolled to a stop, so doing perhaps 5 or 10 kmh max, a car turning right into the road I was on carved straight across my nose missing me by a handful of inches. I have noticed in Canterbury that particular manoeuvre is pretty common. People so busy (!!) that they cannot possibly slow down and execute a 90 degree turn into their own lane rather than slice right in front of whoever is in the other lane.
It amazes me that some of the people I see could pass a driving test, to be honest.

I see that in Auckland too. They are not making any efficiency gains whatsoever by cutting the corner like that - they only add risk. I can't understand the motivation behind it and I have to assume it's a combination of stupidity and laziness.
Another muppet to add to the collection
If you can't laugh at yourself then you probably shouldn't laugh at others.
Witnessed a fully logo'd Christchurch City Council SUV ignore the Stop Sign today.
Even they ignore it.
The CCC Call Centre was NOT interested, even when I said I have the registration and video!
I've sent the video to Chris Lynch Media!
