Just added my trial Spotify account - worked a great as did verbal commands like Hi BYD - open sun roof, turn on air conditioning. I tried navigate to but it said this feature not available yet so it recognised the command.
Reponse voice is female with a US accent.
So any downsides yet for those of you with the Atto 3? Things not quite living up to expectations or all happy days?
I was planning on waiting for the Atto 2/Dolphin but I see now it may not be expected until this time next year. The potential $20k saving was a winner for us as we don't need an SUV, and would be replacing a 20 year old Corolla.

While I have had the car for over 6 weeks now for various reasons have only put 350km on the clock so far :-)
Anyway the Google Maps, Spotify and Hey BYD update were a nice upgrade.
It has mostly met or exceeded my expectations but there are a couple (so far) of things that I would like to have.
1. Single pedal mode driving. The regen is not that aggressive so if you take your foot off the gas the car only slows down a bit. I would have preferred it slowed to a stop like the Kia EV6, Ioniq 5, Polestar 2 and Nissan Leaf I test drove
2. This could be a case of RTFM but it would be good if you were playing music when you stopped and turned off the car, on restart it resumed what you were playing. It comes up with no audio playing and the default home screen where you a select what app you want to run (Maps, Spotify, Music Player etc.) It does not start up anything you were playing before.
The next upgrade will be Apple Car Play and Android Auto which will be good.
No regrets - very happy with the purchase.

Have had my Atto 3 for a good 6 weeks now, clocking it at about 2200 kms on the clock. Bought it meant for my daily workday commute but we ended up using it as our weekend car as well. No complaints, loving it in fact, so definitely very happy with the purchase, epscially as you mentioned price has gone up since last Friday so even better (value) in my opinion. Oh and we did receive the Govt Clean Car rebate - took a good 15 (working) days to come through from applying but within the 20 working days Waka Kotahi stated it would take to process.
Re the radio not resuming where it left off when you last stopped the car, I belive this feature have been fedback and request to BYD NZ so will see if they will incorporate it. I too find it frustrating initially but then learnt that if you start the car nad press the "Mode" button on the right side of the steering wheel, it would play the lasy pleaed raido station/media channel - so if you've last played your radio when you stopped the car it would resume playing that station. Still not an auto-resume, but at least it is a quick button press on the steering wheel rather than having to tap on the Infotainment touch screen.
The updates last week, besides delivering their own Maps/Navigation, Spotify and Voice Commands, have some under the hood improvements - the largest is perhaps the FM radio sound quality. Prior to the update FM radio sound quality is pretty bad (and sounded hollow), but it has improved heaps and really take full advantage of the Direc sound system the car comes with.
Certainly can't wait to have Apple CarPlay which is still slated for released on "Q4 2022"...
Thanks. Will give that a try. I also found out you can change/alter layout of the 3 apps on home screen by long pressing one of them. So I moved Maps to the right, Media Player to the middle and Spotify to the left which is probably the order I would use them

Heh yeah mine is at default I think - Left to Right is Maps, Radio and Spotify. Probably should swap out Spotify for Media as I'm more lkely to play audio from my phone connected to the car via Bluetooth that the built-in Spotify, but decided to leave it for now.
Oh one other thing about voice command - again a number of people fedback that asking the car to "Open Driver Windows" or "Open Front Passenger Window" opens the wrong side. I've only tried it once but mine opened on the correct side so not sure what is happenning. In any case I won't need to use voice command to open / close windows - prefer to use the buttons on the driver side door. But on the other hand, using voice command to control the air-conditioning is pretty cool - you can try saying "Hu BYD its too cold" and the car will turn up the temp by 1 deg. Apparently the updates also incorprate improvement to the air conditioninng function itself.

I did not know about those commands for the air con. Is there a doc that lists all the commands? I did try Hey BYD navigate to <blah> and it said that command is not available yet so it must be planned.
On the air con front about 2 weeks ago we have an unusually warm day in Wellington and it was quite warm in the car. Despite cranking the AC all the way down (to the Lo setting) I didn't seem to be able to get cold enough air coming out. So I took the car into the dealer and they said it was fine (running to spec) and compared with another ATTO3 and it was the same. I know from my other cars if I turn the AC way up (or the coolest) I can feel quite cold air coming out of the vents so this behaviour was unusual.
Had a road trip from Auckland to Waikato yesterday for work.
I saw 3 BYD small SUV's on my travels. Sat behind one in a traffic jam for some time, so got to have a good look.
Nice looking vehicles in the flesh (so to speak) and very Euro-looking, in my opinion.
No idea what they're like to drive, but they are certainly a handsome looking vehicle (but obviously that's subjective).

Totally agree, in relation to the outside:
Opinions on the inside are, how shall I put it, somewhat more divided:
bright red car paint with lush blue interior? can't be serious!

The red was not available in NZ so this must be an Australian photo. Looks very nice but I am happy with my blue

Had that problem also. Open Drive Window and the passenger's side window opened! 3D maps is pretty nice as you can see from this:
