Ordered a Toyota Yaris Cross GX (petrol) 6 Feb.
Was advised a week ago: to be built in April and estimated shipping May and delivery June.

My first ever AM radio network connection was with a 1MHz AM crystal(OA91) radio receiver.

Not going the Yaris GS?
Don’t think you will be able to convince the other half that it’s just a normal Yaris.
You still waiting for a Yaris GS?

Don't think we can fit our two rescue dogs in the boot of a Yaris. Got a CX9 in the end.

On topic... how long did you have to wait for your new CX9?

We desperately needed a new car as our 17 year old Subaru had failed the warrant.
Got very lucky as John Andrew Mazda managed to snag the last one in the country still sitting in the container (So they claimed).
Only had to wait about a week and half for it and managed to get about $6k off RRP (Around 8%).
I think it'll be at least a few weeks wait if one were to buy today.

Toyota NZ is starting to tease the 4th gen highlander on their website.
https://www.toyota.co.nz/new-car/highlander/
Assume they wouldn't be doing this unless stock of the 3rd gen is running low. On the other hand it is possible that the v6 non hybrid engine option being dropped will mean that some buyers will continue to opt for the 3rd gen, even with the 4th gen close to release.
Kinda disappointing that the website describes the 181kW highlander hybrid as "Toyota's most powerful hybrid SUV ever". Those honors belong to the 225kW Rav4 Prime.

I'm surprised that Mazda is continuing with big discounts even on models with tight supply.
That said I was surprised by the level of discounting that seems to be the norm with mazda when a contact brought one after level 4. Big discount offered from the local dealer, and even bigger discount + a more recent model of car offered by dealer in another city.

Geektastic: I believe the new Subaru Outback is finally trickling in to NZ 6 or 8 months after launching in the USA. No turbos here yet though.
The dealer even had to wait for their demonstrators, which arrived late!

I waited a year for the Outback, totally would’ve bought it if there was the 2.4T. However when my car broke down, the the Outback was still about 4 weeks away, I couldn’t wait and decided to splash out extra on the CX9.
Apparently Outback deliveries have been delayed in Australia due to a technical issue affecting the autonomous emergency braking. I assume New Zealand is probably also impacted by this.
@turtleattacks how are you finding your CX-9? We’re in the market for a new CX-5, I guess we’ll need to shop around the different dealers to see who can offer the best discount as like you the first one we went to has offered us about 8% off as well.
