"The average petrol price across the city of sails today is sitting at $3.15 per litre for 91, $3.34 for 95, $3.56 for 98 and $2.94 for diesel."
So, not really.
Yeah - click-bait headline - as usual.

I sure wish we had better media. I have to turn to ABC for regional and international news, but New Zealand rarely gets a mention there.

I drive past this station daily in to the office (in my smug little 2020 egolf) and the price climb has been insane - was around $3.49 wednesday / thursday and now over $4.. they've been high priced for a long time similar to the Z in green bay.
See NZ has now had its credit rating outlook revised negative by Fitch as a result of this uncertainty on the economy. Not good.

But, but, but "green shoots". Is someone telling porkies here?

On the subject of supply, does anyone know which if any 98 octane petrols still have ethanol blended in them?

The downgrade has nothing to do with the current crisis and belongs in another thread.
Wigram NPD was $3.168 / Litre for 91 when I filled up this morning.

Diesel was $3.15/L in Warkworth this afternoon. Didn't manage to catch what the petrol price was. EDIT: [as we drove past with about 60km charge remaining in the MG and thought, we'll definitely need to plug it in when we get home]

That's incorrect. Fitch Ratings said in its report the Iran war posed “some risks to the economy, given its substantial dependence on energy imports". It also says how NZs economy is vulnerable to external shocks like this. The finance minister has also said this global economic volatility makes the Government's programme of fiscal consolidation more important than ever. So it is very relevant to what is happening with fuel access.
