Pretty sure it was around 1.20 when I last drove through Levin only 15 minutes up the road so I might do a reccie and fill the car up.

Download Gaspy and have a look...

Also Diesel prices wont fall, its the RUC they are going to make cheaper for you, but it requires a bit of fiddling and legislation first...

What is the situation with SHaretank? I bought 400L at $3.129 for 95 octane before the announcement. When I bought that fuel I'm not sure if Z actually has paid the taxes to the government at that point - or only when I fill up?

Give it a few weeks and the government tax cut will all be swallowed up with more price rises, then you can go use your sharetank :)

I don’t use sharetank. Is there an expiry on it? Can you just buy from the pump and keep your share tank for after the 3 months is up?

No. But they dont expect you to squat on it. If the 'trial' ends they are only obliged to give 'as much warning as possible' to use it. While there are no refunds etc.

It uses the cheapest price within 30km of you.

So if you cashed up right now you would be sitting pretty in 4 months regardless (or it may tank again and russia give up and drop $1.. tui)

If you pull up to pump and enable plate pay. You get to choose use sharetank or pay at pump/instore.. ie if the pump price is lower on the day.

Works well if you reimburse someone out of town who tops it up where its 15c cheaper all the time.... ;)

No to expiry date on it. If they decide to close it though have 3 months to get rid of it. I have more then 3 months now so if get caught will just find other people to sell it to.

Topped it up today at around $2.67, and before tax cut $2.96. Have just under years worth of petrol, will start using it when price is $2.70 or more, otherwise I’ll pay pump price.

I see the ferry commuters from Devonport and Waiheke are feeling a little left out.

In what way? I thought they were also getting half price fares?

Nope - Fullers is not public transport.

Really!? I thought those ferry services fitted under the very definition of Public Transport. You even tag on and off using a Hop Card.

That's a shocker. All the privately owned bus companies that wanted to run routes in Auckland had to sign up to play nice...why not Fullers?

They're not part of the public transport network, and don't receive government funding.
