on the general price up here no, on the price round gull petrol stations, then yea maybe

you need to get a gull petrol station down there.

If gull were not in business up here we would be paying the same price.

So its got nothing to do with it being north/south its to do with where they have setup

are we still 20c/L more generous for the sake of "transport cost"?

its not transport cost that is resulting in your higher prices compared to the likes of Auckland.

Auckland would have the same price as you if it were no for the gull service stations here which lead the lower prices in various pockets around the city. The near by stations drop their price to match that of the gull station

No gull = same price as Dunedin

PS saw a mobil this morning with 91 for $1.669 and diesel for $.979

The good thing about the horse as a method of transport is that, once it died, people would still beat it for ages, but then give up and move on.

Not so with "The price of Petrol".

Alas.

i think we need to invade some middle eastern oil rich countries, to bring them democracy, so we can deliver lower gas prices for the summer driving season to a compliant populace.

No no you were right the first time, I am sure he meant NZ specifically and our military consists of 2 guys with sawn off shotties in a row boat with only 1 oar (Naval) , a crop duster with an air pistol in the hands of a blind 80 year old woman (air force) and 3 x 70 year old men recovering from hip replacement surgery with broken bowie knives attached to their belts (Army).

Just remember, New Zealand is a dairy producer - a cash cow.
