kudos to the guy in the new world car park a few weeks ago that allowed me to enter his park as he was leaving.  There were no parks left but I saw someone about to leave so I parked up a few cars away and indicated.  Next thing another car pulls up on the other side and also starts indicating.  Guy leaving the park then waves at me, pulls back and stops to block the other car allowing me to enter :D

A couple of weeks ago I was out running and a car was driving on the footpath, positioning itself to park there. It got closer and closer to me, so I folded in the wing mirror so that I can get past which is something that I often do as footpath parking is a common offence around here. I didn't think it was a big deal.

The guy waited until I got another 50m away and then yelled out a threat of violence. I usually ignore morons like that, but I didn't want him to think that his threat had been effective so I ran back and told him that I would ring the council if his car was still on the footpath when I got back. He was too gutless to get out of the car, so he just hung out the window doing the fingers and yelling abuse.

When I got back he had moved his car off the footpath, so I guess I won that particular battle.

I did think about that but he was an old guy with one foot in the grave, and I am quite fit so he would have come off second best if he tried anything. I could tell that he was full of hot air anyway since he waited until I was some distance away before mouthing off.

Police have to find the driver and put them in prison for a few weeks. This type of driving kills people.

I can't see possible traffic behind you but if it is clear I would have just moved over to the right or slowed when I saw that happening. Why stay in the way when you can see the driver is about to run out of road? Okay, s/he is a moron Would you rather be right or alive?

I know it's hard to tell from the video but there was a car coming up to pass me but they buttoned off. That stretch of road is like a race track sometimes.

It's pretty obvious they are intending to merge, even though they haven't correctly indicated. The courteous thing to do would have been to change lanes to the right to let them in without creating a problem that was quite foreseeable. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I would have slowed down (or changed lanes), they were slightly ahead of you and your visibility of them was far clearer than their view of you.   

I'm not sure this fits into the muppet category. They are technically in the wrong, and should not have assumed you would slow down.

You wouldn't be the first to forget the bit that says everyone has to drive considerately - it's listed as one of the things you get demerit points for

I don't see much problem with Ruphus' driving. Especially when like they said there was another vehicle coming up behind in the right lane. 

Merging vehicle had plenty of time to look right establish existing vehicles on the road and either speed up to match highway speed (which they especially should have done at the end) or reduced their acceleration a tiny bit to let Ruphus get past before merging in. 

Looking at the speed I see it going from 105km/h to 108km/h - did the driver realise someone was going merge and accelerated instead of leaving the traffic merge? I think the driver in the merging lane was going at the flow speed but had to break hard - the driver on the main road also put the foot hard on the brake - from 108km/h down to 88km/h.

I think the courteous thing would be either move to the right (poster says a car was coming up) or slow down and giveway, seeing the other driver was merging with flow speed.

Probably bad timing from both sides.
