Has anyone else ordered the new M3P? Wondering if anyone has a delivery estimate besides "June" yet?

There have been some deliveries to people on the Facebook group, but I think it's been pretty limited so far.

Installed 2024.20.1 yesterday. While the .1 is a bug fix, 2024.20 has stuff including further tweaking to the adaptive main beam and the implementation of “Autopilot Jail”.

The adaptive lights will now potentially point round corners (if I read the release notes correctly). What I have noticed is the “auto” part seems to be active on dull days, not just nighttime.

As for the Autopilot Jail, if this becomes too intrusive, I will be trading my M3 in on another vehicle. I know other vehicles have attention warning systems and this is to comply with an overzealous NHTSA directive, but it’s a step too far and too sensitive in a vehicle operated through a central display.*

*Yes, I know there are voice commands and steering wheel shortcuts.

Autopilot jail has been a thing for ages now, what is new is the strike removal if you go a week without getting one.

The only ones I have had are for "pay attention to the road" warnings, not the failure to jiggle the wheel, and it was when I was going into sun in both occasions so it may have screwed up the camera seeing me. Third time it happened I disengaged autosteer when it was warning me and jiggling the wheel didnt work so I moved it more and it stopped nagging and I got no warning.

To get the warning it seems you have to be going at a reasonable speed (not having the car edge forwards in stop-start traffic) and look down at something down low for about 10 seconds or so.

The update also broke the battery % readout on my HUD. Not a biggy, just the perils of third party hardware.

Tesla on YouTube shared an upcoming feature where you stand by the boot for a while and it triggers the boot to open or close. I look forward to that.

Other cars have it. If your hands are full can be hard to get to the recessed button under the lip and teslas don't have a kick sensor.

Exactly. I didn't know how much I would want it now with kids on tow.

This is only for the 2024 Model 3 refresh with UWB, and only if you have an iPhone for now. UWB seems to be a requirement so it can reliably detect that you're at the back of the car.

Aftermarket kick sensors for Tesla's with powered boot lids are available at much less than the cost of an iPhone. Why didn't the factory go that way?

For the same reason as they removed USS and cruise radar. Because it can be done by another sensor and clever software. Anything to reduce production cost.

Just updated to 2024.26.7, which had a bug fix of 2024.26.3 rolled into it.

Most interested in the new charging scheduler.

Have to re-learn the position of the hvac controls as they have decided to move them around on the screen for this update.

So just got the following email from Tesla:

Starting 1 December 2024, the Spotify Premium vehicle account will no longer be included with your Premium Connectivity subscription. Log in with your personal Spotify account or continue accessing the vehicle account by updating the account information with your personal email.

Has anyone else with a premium sub received this notice?

TBH, it’s not the most clearly worded message - are they saying that the vehicle account is essentially being downgraded from Premium Spotify to standard, ie will have ads etc?

Not a biggie for us, I guess, as we already have a Spotify Premium Family sub, and I will probably log in with a spare account or switch to our own accounts for each car user. But certainly does mark a lowering of the value of the premium sub for those who don’t otherwise have Spotify and will now either have to pay for it or cope with ads etc.

I got it, I didn't even know that I had anything with premium connectivity and spotify because I have never tried in my own car with it.
