Just received:

Newegg, the top tech-focused e-retailer in North America with an expanding global footprint, today announced local shipping to customers in Australia. The move is the latest in a series of strategic investments made by Newegg to address key international growth markets.

“We began selling to customers in Australia last year and were impressed by the steady growth as Australian customers became more familiar with Newegg,” said James Wu, COO of Newegg. “We are confident the Australian market presents a great opportunity for Newegg, and we’re enthusiastic about forging a lasting relationship with this new customer base.”

In April of 2014, Newegg announced it would begin shipping to customers in Australia. At first, only a subset of Newegg’s products could be purchased and, despite higher shipping costs, Australian customers were quick to take advantage of the product diversity offered by Newegg.

Scaling an e-commerce business to new international markets poses significant logistical challenges in the areas of order fulfillment, customer support, returns, regional product compatibility and country-specific regulations. The expansion announced today is an important step forward to make sure Australian customers have a great shopping experience with Newegg.

To celebrate this announcement, Newegg is offering a tremendous number of great deals for Australian customers. Visit http://www.newegg.com/AustraliaDeals and start shopping today.

Actually, it's not so much Newegg shipping TO Australia (that's been available for a year now) it's shipping FROM Australia.

Does it not ship to NZ yet?  I see one can get prices in NZ$ if New Zealand is selected in the dropdown at the top.

You've been able to buy from Newegg in NZ since it was made available to Australia over a year ago.

If it's less than $400 then no [Edit: At least not charged by NZ Customs]... unless a proposed law change goes ahead (which won't be until next year).

Probably the prices are excl GST and if you are buying in AU to deliver in AU then it'll attract the Australian GST.

Or is the delivery address in NZ?

If they handle duty on behalf then that would save a lot of mucking around, but presumably you have to take them at their word that they were charged.

I did a few price comparisons, and even taking shipping into account their prices for things like hard-drives are still better than most NZ stores.

Any one tried dealing with them with warranty issues?
