As the title suggests, Dick Smith has the Bose QuietComfort 25, for under $375 today only.

I grabbed it last time it was this price mainly so I had bragging rights over @sbiddle

Dick Smith are the only ones in New Zealand who ever discount the QC25. It is normally on the list of exclusions for their usual daily sales.

Cheers, Matt.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

I did say I'd get them if they were ever offered at a decent discount. Hard to argue at that price.

My order is ready to pick up.

I have some 20i's - the in ear ones.  Best travel purchase I ever made.  Can sleep with them in whilst on the plane, and they slip into your pocket unlike the over the ear ones.

They are also on sale at DSE - great price

Also not a bad price. We have two. They're a pretty good little unit.

Especially when paired in stereo mode; we also have two (both bought from DSE, which is by far the cheapest source of both the Boom and MegaBoom when they have them on sale - I think this is about the price we paid for ours).

I'll more often than not have them in stereo mode now days, but if only they'd make it possible to use them in stereo when connected to a computer (for watching Netflix etc in bed!).

Just bought me a pair.  I had a JB Hifi voucher so popped into the Wellington store and they were happy to price-match.
Very happy.

That is a sharp price, much less than what I paid for mine from a Bose store in Seattle earlier this year.

You can Double Up two UE BOOMs without the app:

  • Simultaneously press the Bluetooth and + buttons on the speaker that is playing music (or in your case connected to the computer)
  • Then press the Bluetooth button twice on the speaker that you want to add.

Thanks for the tip. Instant gratification with JB price match. The lady says she's done a few today.

I ordered from Dick Smith as the closest pick up location is the same distance from me as JB. Would have gone to Noel Leeming (as closer) but they don't list the QC25!

Thanks - I must have misunderstood something I'd read regarding stereo mode - perhaps it's the inability to select this when connecting a megaboom and boom together (which makes sense given their different sound characteristics). Also, apparently one can only have paired megabooms connected to a single device, which is another limiting factor. Anyway, will try stereo mode with the computer tonight...

Yes... you can usually connect to two devices... but in this case one of those is the other boom :-) so one device in stereo it is.
