Also just got an email from Sony about A8F discounts

I see the LG B8 OLED has finally seen an OLED under $2k in the Aussie market - they're selling for $1995 on special.

Yup, amazed with the exchange rate too!

I think they're not selling many.

I'll be in the market again in the next 2 years, so....

Saving for that years Sony flagship equivalent of the A1 or A9F

The KD55A8F is now on sale for $1999 here ending 8am boxing day morning (and the 65 for $2999).

edit: Samsung Q6 65 is under $2k too.

But you buy 2018 now and then see all the new gear announced at CES for March - April, instant regret.

Either wait until just before the roll over for last years at low prices, or get the latest new tech, if any.

All the obligatory boxing day sale emails have just rolled in from the usual suspects.  Can't say I notice anything different to any other "sale".  Yawn.

Yep, its a pity its got so commercial. Kids wanting money, etc, but a sign of the times I guess.

I bought $550 worth of goods at Briscoes the other day, paid $240. I'm glad I was able to take advantage of the annual one day sale..... :-)

My wifes hairdryer crapped out yesterday. Briscoes were having a sale with 40% off hairdryers. Turned out Noel Leeming were $10 cheaper than Briscoes sales price for exactly the same hairdryer.

I don't know much about hairdryers but how does this compare? Note that you in theory can apply a $5 coupon too ...

A quick Google shows a $60 price, so thats probably RRP, HN google search shows $26, now $15. Less coupon = $10. Crazy, but good

I'm eyeing up a Carpet Shampoo'er that Noel Leeming is advertising for around $470 (special order), but Harvey Norman have it for around $630 and I think they have it in stock. Are they known to Price Match at all?

They should do. I bought a fridge freezer the other day. I had a kind offer here for a deal, but we chose another model. HN guy showed me the price match webpage, and all were around or a bit more, so he said they can't do any better. If NL advertise a cheaper deal I'd expect them to give that to you. Call and ask. You will be put through to a sales person on the floor in that dept.

I think you can get a branded one for a couple of hundred bucks more that works better. But just for the panel, the panel is fine, very similar to the low end branded ones.

Looking for a Laptop for my grand daughter for college next year. Had a look at PB tech xlease PCs.   Plenty listed but not available online and when I look at the  store stock mostly nil stock apart from maybe one store in the country.

Guess it will be Noel Lemmings
