Just bought a Huawei P20 Pro for $849 that came with a free Bluetooth speaker. It was $50 cheaper at their recent Black Friday sale though.

Also picked up a Huawei Nova 3i for a friend too for $339 (also came with a free speaker).

I don't think it's advertised, but you click Choose your option button and it'll say there for the free speaker.

I forgot I could've probably went to another store to see if they could beat the prices for me, which they probably could and I would've saved more!

Pricing theory is an interesting field of study, but at the end all that really matters is what you will be offered on the day and what you end up paying.

The historical price of goods is frustrating as it is an empirical study of opportunity lost and the cost of inaction. Apple goods used to be a LOT cheaper in NZ when our exchange rate was at similar points to what it is now (NZD:USD), and then when the exchange weakened the prices shot up and have never gone back down to those older levels. A lot like petrol prices relative to oil prices and the introduction of those annoying loyalty programmes that added 10c/litre to the cost of fuel.

I guess the real question is what are people willing to pay on the day and what can they get? I'd love to get some discounts on spotify to benefit my kids, i'm sure people will be looking for new TV's as well (I found the best time was the boxing day week for some models, but also being in tune with the market and got something at the end of Jan)

Sale ads on TV seemed a bit disappointing.

Harvey Norman have the LG 55B8 OLED for $2,699 down from the $2,999 for the B7 last Boxing Day

I see the LG B8 OLED has finally seen an OLED under $2k in the Aussie market - they're selling for $1995 on special.

ComputerLounge have some (admittedly subjective) good deals - especially on graphics cards and the like!
