Purchased it last year as this same deal was on when we moved back to NZ. Great timing as hopefully we can renew it each year as they have the sale. Far cheaper than the plan I had in Germany, I guess it also works out slightly cheaper than what I was paying with Three in the UK as well.

Do I have to wait till the expiry date of the current plan before adding this new plan, or will it tack it on the end automatically extending the correct dates?

It will REPLACE your existing plan, on the date you apply it - no extension of dates will occur. Applying it earlier will mean that you lose any time, so apply it as late as possible without having either your current plan or the voucher expire.

panther2: Does kogan support wifi calling?

Yes - depending on your phone. I have wifi calling on my PH-1 - and Kogan is the only NZ mobile provider where it works (Spark, Vodafone and 2 Degrees does not work with this phone).

Great just brought the 15gb month plan for the two of us, is porting the number from Skinny easy when activating the Kogan Sim, haven't ported a number for years.

A comment on cheapies raised a good point, for new customers it would be worth buying a $5 sim pack which will give you 15gb for the first month, then load up your annual plan as close to that expiring or 30 September, whichever comes first. You'd get 13 months on two plans for $340, so $13.07 a month each.

Our current 2-for-1 Kogan plans expire next Tuesday, and I'd decided to switch to pay month-by-month until this offer came up again. And then I get an expiry reminder email from Kogan that included mention of the 2-for-1 so, as for many here, perfect timing.

At this price we're also giving our younger kid a plan on a phone he otherwise uses for other purposes - this means we'll finally cut the apron strings of a landline (previously only kept so he'd have something to call on in an emergency if no-one else was around; the only person who now calls on it is my MiL!)

Thanks for posting this.

I’ve just placed an order. Looks like it might take a couple of weeks for the SIM to arrive, but it looks like a very good deal.

I've purchased several Kogan deals on behalf of others over the last couple of years, and found the SIM cards almost always arrive within a week. I believe they're distributed from a NZ address. Also have been extremely happy with these BOGOF deals for myself and family over the last year. WiFi calling and general call quality has been excellent, and far better than my time with 2D.  Recently Vodafone opened up their 5G network to Kogan users also. As long as live support isn't a priority, nothing else comes anywhere near close to these deals.

Tivo upgrades to operate with the new OzTivo EPG, support and service. Over 400 performed here so far. See: www.hillcrest.net.nz

Something to note is that with Kogan you cannot send to those numbers that are used by hairdressers, doctors etc with the whole “reply yes to confirm your appointment” thing. A very minor inconvenience. But worth noting. I’ve been with them since they launched in Nz and have been very happy. No other provider comes close to value.
