Gelaskin - beautiful artistic cases and skins for Apple, Samsung, Laptops, Kindle etc
25% off with the code "bigsale" - emblazoned all over the site.

My partner absolutely loves them - the skin she got for her Mac Air is quite marvelous. They use a new 3m product that doesn't bubble and looks immaculate. The hard Iphone 5 case is very nice too. Highly recommended

USPS shipping to NZ is cheap as chips too.

Detruire: Hmm... looks like I missed the Surface RT deal (Noel Leeming and JB sites say out of stock, and I doubt there'll be any left at either store tomorrow. )

In the end I got four.... (sorry).

I suggest trying a store rather than online. I went to our local JB store with my sister late afternoon for her to buy one, and they had a handful left.

I missed out on checking stores today (both close at 5:30 here afaik), and I doubt there'll be any left tomorrow. From what's happened with similar deals in the past, I expect any remaining stock to have been snapped up by staff members.

Good luck. Many people may not know about the deal, so you maybe in luck if you get in quick tomorrow.

Seems that was the case - I got one from JB (in Palmy) about an hour after they opened. The guy in the store said that they had a few more left, and the smaller Harvey Norman definitely had a few left too.

I picked up the surface rt for $278 from jb and it was an impulse buy. I have used it for a few minutes and it isn't for me. I am happy with my iPad so gonna sell it now.

What's driving your decision on this please? Considering getting one for my parents so am keen to hear end user opinions.

Where in NZ are you? Will give you $250 ;-)

Quite a few Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals in the US at the moment: laptops, cameras, portable hard drives, network devices

And Amazon has got some neat deals as well

Guess it's time to use Youshop a lot!

I'm not sure why someone with an iPad (or other decent tablet) would be interested in the Surface RT unless they wanted it for development or because they're heavily invested in the Windows ecosystem.

I was considering giving mine to my parents, but now that I've spent a couple of hours with it I don't think that they'd like it. They're not very good with technology, and as it seems far too unintuitive, I don't think that they'd like it much. At times, I struggled to work out how to do some things without resorting to a web search, and I'm fairly used to doing similar things in Windows 8 (I'm running it on my desktop.)

My overall opinion (on whether it's any good or not) is that there are too many desktop distractions (that you don't get with iOS or WP8) for it be a great simple/easy-to-use tablet. That wouldn't be so bad if you could install any program (compiled for ARM/RT) or apps from any source, but that doesn't seem to be possible without jailbreaking it (which isn't yet an option for RT 8.1.)

Yes Amazon is cheaper but there are loads of things where they're not allowed to ship them overseas, where youshop comes in
