I hadn't read that lately, but that's a shame. It's $80 to auto-renew, and still very cheap so I likely won't bother upgrading despite the fact my Son blew through his 1.5GB of data in a couple of days somehow.

Depends on what plan you're on and the duration of that plan. 

If you're already on a Large 365-day plan, then you can renew it at half-price. If you're already on a Medium 365-day plan, then you can renew it at half-price. And so on. If you're on none of them, then the option will not be there for you (as far as I am aware).

Yep, it's normally $160 so that's the half price cost for a year of the small plan, which is damn cheap for a basic plan - $6.67 a month.

Or are you looking to buy additional data for your son for the rest of the month? Prices for this aren't cheap; these are covered in a post on the previous page.

I have direct experience of kids getting though their data quickly, but also have pushed back and made it clear they need to manage it more carefully! They are generally heaps better. Back in my day I remember our basic plans had 500MB a month and we were fine... (Deliberate old fogy comment.)

You need to have B1G1 offer or 50% off offer along with 365 day plan to get the half price renew option.

•  

  • Click Renew or Buy Prepay Plan
  • I would like to purchase a Prepay plan
  • Choose another prepay plan
  • Change plan length to 365 days
  • You will have 2 pricing for the same plan you are on. 1 at 50% off other at full price.
  • You will loose remaining balance of your existing plan if you renew with this method.
