I just went to purchase and final price is $285.99.. $279 before shipping..

Hmm, Warehouse are still advertising $250 so I'm sending a stern email. I want to save my $35!!!

macuser: The Playstation Vita has a package deal going at the warehouse, PS Vita and a game for $250.  The deal gets even better when you realise the Little Big Planet Vita console is included in this deal.  So for $250 you get Little Big Planet, a Vita, 4GB card (those included in the LBP Vita console)  + another game of your choice.  If you are into lego games, the Lego collection is included in the deal, with that you get a whole lot of great lego games and a 16GB Vita card.

So for $250 you could get

Playstation Vita
Little Big Planet
4GB Vita memory card
16GB Vita memory card
LEGO Harry Potter: 5-7 Years
LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes
LEGO Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
LEGO Batman: The Videogame
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game
LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Or instead of the Lego games +16 GB card you could choose which ever game you like - I got Killzone...I'll just buy a bigger memory card later.

I signed up to the free PS+ 14 day trial and am playing Uncharted at the moment as it's included for free with PS Plus.

There is debate wether the Vita is a dead platform or not, either way its a great device with a good enough library of big name titles and plenty of HD collections of PS2/PSP games.

Sounds like you didn't add the extra game to the cart?  They might not have as much stock in store so just be aware of that.  Also You might need to show them the online website that has the Little Big Planet bundle on special also, as they might not be aware of the deal.  It rings up fine on the teller though.

How do people find the Vita and is there a new version out or is this offer for the new one?

The new version launches in NZ in June, this will be the old model I presume.

This is the original version, I got the Vita the other day.  I'm loving it for $250...fast and the games look great.  Really fun playing in bed beside girlfriend without having to annoy her with a TV or Laptop being on.

Only gripe is the screen is a hard plastic, so it scratches more than glass.  Battery life is fine, and OLED screen is great (It's not pentile like Samsung AMOLED so even it's qHD resolution looks great)

The new Vita is a cheaper version of the original, it supposedly feels cheaper, has a worse LCD screen.  But it does have 20% better battery life or so.

I'm a little disappointed that there is no hacking community for the Vita, and the web browser isn't up to par with Chrome on android...besides that...cool device with plenty of games (Including PS2 ports, PSP and PS1 games)

It's a great piece a kit which could do with a lot more developer love. Absolutely great games are few and far between, but there are some pretty good ones on the platform.

Also, if you have a PS4, it adds a whole new dimension to its usefulness. Using remote play, you can play your PS4 games on the Vita while someone else has occupied your telly. I haven't tried this with any games that utilise L2/R2 yet, which are mapped to the rear touchpad, so I'm not sure how well that particular control scheme works. But I've used it extensively with a game that doesn't use those buttons (Knack) and was very surprised with how well it worked.

Half-price Philips softone lightbulbs at New World - 10 for $5

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

If you are wanting a cheap openwrt capable router with a USB port, the warehouse had the tplink mr3020 down to $30 reduced to clear in store.
