Had a feeling it was too good to be true in Dec :/

You would think it'd make more sense now the christmas stock demand rush is off to tool up and punch out the entire batch that had the most orders (pretty sure the 2nd release was due to demand and had more?) than to re-tool it twice down the track and have to do it all over again

One thing to consider is credit card changes. I had someone ask me about the order who was changing banks. of course the charge is still pending. And wouldn't go through once done and the order was ready to go!

rscole86: Email received from Lego today.

In December, we sent an email to let you know your BrickLink Designer Program order was getting ready to ship. We wanted to clarify some info.

Your order was placed on or after August 3rd when we made additional Round 1 sets available to pre-order. We made a mistake by not reminding you the sets you ordered in this second wave of pre-ordering wouldn’t start shipping until as late as June 2022. We’re sorry for not mentioning this and apologize if we’ve caused any confusion.

Me too. June 2022 is a long way away. This email made me sad.

I'll stick with my Speed Champions sets thanks...... :)

It is a shame they stuffed things up, is a cool looking set. Hopefully those that hang out for it, enjoy it :)

I was in the first batch of 5000 orders so my email today was a bit different, still a bit bummed out by the delay. Here it is for everyone’s benefit:

Here's a quick update on your BrickLink Designer Program order.

Orders to the United States and Canada will begin shipping at the end of January and those going to Australia and New Zealand will start shipping at the end of February. Due to ongoing global shipping delays, your order may take longer than normal to arrive after it’s been shipped.

We also want to let you know that your card will be charged when we start getting your order ready to ship. You’ll need to make sure you have funds available and the card is still valid before then.

If you have further questions about your order, please contact LEGO® Customer Service at https://LEGO.com/service.

As always, thanks for your patience and understanding.

For all the AFOLs here, there is a new Back to the future set that has just been released. It looks really good. But it maybe hard to get hold of as I suspect it will be very popular

Cloud spending continues to surge globally, but most organisations haven’t made the changes necessary to maximise the value and cost-efficiency benefits of their cloud investments. Download the whitepaper From Overspend to Advantage now.

Knew it was coming out, but didn't know the price, so was relatively pleasantly surprised by the $169.99 cost from your link... until I realised the link was for the US store and the NZ price was $279.99 :)

That is pretty pricey considering the price of the Saturn 5 rocket and Apollo lander sets which were under $200. Guessing part of the cost is the licensing fee.

It’s a shame how fragile the build is. I’m tempted to glue some of the pieces together.

My credit card has been charged, and DHL text message with delivery details today. Should be here within a week.
Interesting that there was plenty of communication early on, and nothing since they apologised for the miscommunication about which group my order was in.

Hopefully that means that I will get charged and sent one soon. It's been a long time hahaha.
