Back on sale in Harvey Norman for $462 - although limited stock. Best bet is price matching by Noel Leeming in-store or via online chat with rep for a discount code.

Does your XM3 have the amplified ambient sound when making calls? Never had this problem with XM1, same problem on XM2...Bit disappointed still has the same problem with XM3

Yeah it's super frustrating how people I call can hear other people around me and ambient noise better than they can hear me (XM2).

Thanks to Sony for taking care of me and sorting my headphones prior to my trip.

So far I am pretty impressed with them, though the sound signature for music seems a little ... "off", but I can't quite put my finger on what it is. It just doesn't seem ... engaging? Lacks a little .. Punch, perhaps?

Improved comfort, NC is good, gesture controls are as expected.

I am selling my MX2's if anyone is interested, $280.

I'm not sure why, it's varied. On facetime audio its a bit like as described, actual voice a bit faint and surrounding louder. When switching to facetime video suddenly its a lot better and my voice is clear.

I've also found the NC to...interfere a bit with how music sounds. Actually turning the headphones off and using a 3.5mm sounds better than with NC on (aside from noisy surroundings).

Sadly is doesn't sound like the m3 has fixed the call quality problems desire having better mics than the previous two models. It's hard to find the perfect headphones in this world.

Ordered some from PBTech a couple of weeks ago, still waiting on them to be dispatched.  Still on back order.

Same :( They keep sending update emails and I think that it has shipped but instead it's just another delay

So, I took the cable out of my MX3 to put with my mx2 when I sold it.

I then later found a replacement 3.5mm cable but it wasn't until I was on the plane that I realized it didn't work and that into the Headphones, the cable won't stay attached or is much looser than I expected.

I then went to Jbhifi in Australia and bought a Belkin 3.5m cable and it's pretty much the same. It sort of fits in but is loose, but unlike the other cable, does actually work, sort of, if I hold it in and don't move at all.

Is the cable supplied proprietary?
