Yeah @oblivian I think I'm in the same boat as mine still shows as backordered when I checked it. Hoping it comes some time this year 😬

FWIW: I placed my order in group 2, on 7/8.

Interesting that there was plenty of communication early on, and nothing since they apologised for the miscommunication about which group my order was in.

@rscole86 Did you also receive an email when they shipped it out?  I got an email on 6th June saying it had been shipped, but 3 weeks later and I'm still waiting (without any tracking number available to see where it is at).

So i got my Kakapo a couple of months ago but seem to be having a real issue getting my other order (the great fishing boat).  Lego says they sent it back in may from AU, however no tracking was allocated.  Now they are saying it must have been "lost" and refunded.  Which is a pain as it was the set i was looking forward to the most.

On the bricklink site others also have this issue.  It's almost like someone knows of the re-sell value (currently 2x / 3x) marking them sent and pocketing them.

I have never had a package from lego that did not have tracking assigned just before dispatch.

So if you have been charged, waiting without tracking then best to talk to lego and get a refund as it's not coming and lego can't tell you why, how or what happen to the set.

Ordered 26/8/21.... Apparently its due for dispatch 04/07/2022 (today)... who knows. Kinda forgot about it by now. Sad actually.

Currently, your Kakapo is slated to ship towards the end of July. While the "backorder" date is constantly changing, keep an eye on your email updates from us, as well as your order status on the website as it should be fulfilling and shipping out relatively soon. The link that currently directs you to a 404 page will update as the item is shipped, and provide tracking information for you!
