St1ick: Anyone wants to go halfs on a small pack?

I'd be keen to split a small pack. PM me if you already have a pack to split - seems the website is still saying sold out.

I don't have a pack yet but yeah, website is saying sold out again. Probably will come back in a few hours though.

sorry about hijact the topic,

anyone has problems with the facetime and MMS setting? The number was ported from Skinny with no problme.

My phone (Iphone 12 max pro) seems can't recognise the phone number, when i mannually type in but can't receieve the varification code, hence i can't use the phone number as defaut facetime setting,.

I did follow the Kogan APN setting (https://help.koganmobile.co.nz/hc/en-us/articles/360033085812) but with no luck.

There is no problem with the internet access though.

Thanks.

Seem to be available to purchase again now.

GSManiac: Something to note is that with Kogan you cannot send to those numbers that are used by hairdressers, doctors etc with the whole “reply yes to confirm your appointment” thing. A very minor inconvenience. But worth noting. I’ve been with them since they launched in Nz and have been very happy. No other provider comes close to value.

I just used the online chat to clarify the "Enjoy unlimited standard calls/text to New Zealand & Australia for 365 days" condition.

To call or text an international number (other than Australia) you need to purchase the International Calls Add-On at $9.90 for 30 days.

Any premium calls or texts (e.g. 0900 or short code text) are not possible

Edit : Add quotes for previous updates

Can anyone confirm if Kogan supports 5G? I see on their website that they don't mention it but have seen people say that 5G does work.

Thanks in advance

VoLTE and VoWIFI work absolutely rock solid on my parallel imported Galaxy S20+ 5G (SM-G986B/DS) and 5G also, but speed tests I've run when connected to 5G, (and indicated on display as such) have nearly always been no better than 4G speed and similar latency. Not sure why that should be, even when I've had good signal. I'm wondering whether Kogan's 5G speed is throttled, or maybe it's my phone?

Thanks for that everyone. So, Spong you're only getting 4G speed, but panther2 and askelon are getting 5G speeds?

Currently with 2degrees and doing data sharing with three other devices. Trying to toss up to switch, probably can save 180 a year over a couple of mobiles, so maybe it's a no-brainer.

Anyone having issues receiving 4 digit short codes?

I just ported my number successfully from 2D - Kogan & sms/call/mms are working fine except receiving short codes, so I can't register apps that require sms auth codes.

You can't respond to,  or send SMS to short codes with the Kogan pre-pay plans, and I think this is the same with some Skinny plans. I'm sure it's been mentioned in this thread before.

Just edited my post. I meant I can't receive short codes.
