Yeah I went into JBhifi in Australia and found a Belkin retractable cable that fitted and it's nicely fitting in my case. I really hate those retractable cables, but they are a reasonable choice under the circumstances. $15

For ex-XM2 owners, now XM3 owners, are the XM3s noticeably different/better than the XM2, or are these a marginal upgrade?
bump: I'm keen for any feedback on differences between the XM2 and XM3? I tried a pair of XM3 on at Noel Leeming and fit felt tighter than my XM2, as well the band extension felt less sloppy. As well as fit and construction, I'm keen to hear about noise cancelling and overall sound quality compared with the XM2. ta
XM3 is slightly more comfortable but not by much.
It does have bigger cavity for the ear when compared side-by-side. Both gets warm after a while though.
Audio is very similar tonally except for the bass being more extended and a few notches bump in dB, but this is easily "corrected" with EQ if you're not a bass head.
Probably will appeal more to masses simply due to this alone.
NC is on par if maybe a slight improvement over XM2, there is a youtube video do a somewhat good comparison between the two.
One thing it does worse, subjectively, is the look and finish. XM3 looses the leather-like texture on the ear cups, and overall feels just a tad cheaper than XM2. Built quality is probably the same.
Overall if you have a budget for it, it may be a worthwhile upgrade, otherwise XM2 is still is really good.

Thanks all, appreciate the feedback
My work is a CSC (group buying organisation) platinum member. Let's just say "our" price (available only in-store at Noel Leeming) was around the $420s. By simultaneously placing an order for the yet to be released Momentum True Wireless earbuds from Sennheiser (which with the CSC discount went down to $370-something as well), I was able to ask for a further $50 off on the headphones, which I picked up for $375 I think. Both of these are new/"hot" products and if there's this kind of discount available with relatively little effort on my part, it just shows you the insane margins that our retailers have.
Moral of the story, if you are after these headphones or anything from Noel Leeming, ask to borrow someone's corporate CSC card/get them to buy it for you.
Really looking forward to hearing the Sony!
WOW ... that's eye-opening (I didn't even know what CSC is). Of my curiosity, does your CSC discount apply on top of Black Friday deals?
If so, would someone be kind enough to lend me their CSC card in Wellington? I will bring a coffee to get it for a couple of days.
All the NL associates carry a smartphone that discloses their group buy tier pricing. All you do is show them your corporate benefits/CSC card and they tell you the (theoretical) best price that you're eligible for based on the tier that you work gets. They absolutely will not disclose any CSC pricing over the phone. In my experience, all the CSC platinum discounts considerably exceed the sales discounts available. Even with the Black Friday Sale + $20 off code/e-mail, the public's theoretical best price is $443 and the CSC platinum price was still cheaper. I truly got the feeling that if I stood my ground and pressed even harder I could have gotten more discounts but I am on my last day of AL and would rather save some time.

My early impressions are as follows:
Comfort-wise, these are ten times more comfortable on my head than my PXC-550, even though my significant other loves her PXC-550 like a child in terms of comfort. I did not enjoy the sound stage/SQ of the Sony out of the box but upon a bit of EQ tweaking it is now sounding great plus all headphones need a breaking in period. Still not as nice sounding as the Sennheiser but considering that I did not enjoy wearing the PXC-550 at all, this is still a massive improvement. The NC on the Sony is indeed out of this world. Someone lent me a pair of QC35s last week and the SQ on the Sony just kicks the pants out of Bose's - so much more detail in the sound (I am a classically trained violinist) along with much richer-sounding yet non-muddying bass in its favour also.
In stock items only and only the black coloured one is on sale -- and they have one left. Nice deal if you can get it but not exactly widely available.
I don't think any of these ANC headphones are really over $300 in actual msrp value. However they are very nice and only have a few competitors in their feature-space. The retailers really are making a killing on these margins.
Dial111: $399 at Computer Lounge if anyone’s still looking, beats the pants off NL price.
Got mine for $380 and on finance too from NL.

Are they still on sale at that price? Only see the Sony WF-1000XB at 399.
Pretty cheap from Dick Smith at the moment. Silver only. $389

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.
I am very glad I managed to pick these up; used on all legs of my trip to Europe and they were super comfortable and made at least one part of the plane journey bearable (the planes seemed to be super noisy)
