Damn, that Dell website must be the slowest thing on the Internet.

Looking around now and this model comes with starting price at $1099 4GB RAM. I think you got lucky.

That looks to be good value. It looks legit because it says clearance.

Here is a review. TLDR: it's big and heavy. And HDD and no gigabit ethernet. On the other hand this review with photos show it's easy to replace the HDD with a SSD.

Atleast the HDD is a hybrid ssd/hdd so could be okay not really used a hybrid drive before..

With an 8 GB hybrid drive shouldn't be too bad, although SSD prices are so cheap nowadays.

Not sure I trust there gaming results either
I have a feeling that was using the onboard GPU considering how close it was to the other cpu using the same onboard GPU
Also this guy has done alot of gaming this laptop:

The GPU gets some decent gaming benchmarks at notebookcheck.net. Looks good for a home desktop replacement.

Another review:
http://www.notebookcheck.net/Dell-Inspiron-15-5547-Notebook-Review.122261.0.html

It appears to concur with the PCWorld review regarding build quality.
They refer to it as "medium" build quality.

Other specs are somewhat awesome for the price.

Very tempting.

Also, what does "No Nuance SW included" mean?

Does that mean no bloatware? (if yes - then another awesome feature...)

Well mine came with 12 months of Mcafee so that can't be true :)

For me the IPS 1080p touch display is what I like portable lightroom machine would be useful.

I have had an inspiron before and the build quality of it was poor.I beleive the latitude are their higher quality ones.  But for a cheap sub $1000 laptop it looks to have good specs. I do know someone who had one of those hybrid drives with their dell,  and had all sorts of problems with it.
