networkn: Well now I am seriously pissed with Sky.

First we upgraded to My Sky+ so I had the capacity to record, in HD, every game in the RWC. They installed, but didn't put the HD Ticket on my NEW Decoder and so I have missed 5 games in HD. I called them tonight and they added it, right in the middle of the wallabies game, which terminated the recording, corrupting it and making it unwatchable. I now have 1 missing, 5 in SD. Tomorrow AM someone is getting reaming.

Stupid CSR could have TOLD me adding HD Ticket right then and there was going to cause issues with the current recording. Also they have broken all the series links.

The games are all being replayed this morning.

I know, but I know the result, and this makes watching the game much less exciting.

I really enjoyed how Fiji played against the Boks. Heaps of passion, and quite a bit of strategy too. It was a shame they butchered that late try with a forward pass, but I really would have liked them to score more. The Springboks do look good though. And really stoked for Ireland!

Wow the press are demolishing Australia. I think they need to lighten up. I am as happy as anyone, but teams have bad games, it happens, they feel bad enough as it is. I don't want them leaving with a bad taste in their mouth over how NZ treated them when they were down.

Didn't listen to the whole thing... eyes glazed when they said 'economists say we won't recover the venue costs....'

Every time we want to build a venue (or infrastructure) in this country the nay-sayers rush to burn effigies of 'what-might-have-beens' if the money was spent else where. Yet down stream it is those stadia or event spaces that actually help bring events and structure into the wider community and economy.

How often did people from this country fly to Oz to see an event or performer that simply wouldn't come here before we had places like Vector Area or the CakeTin... and going back North Harbour Stadium or QE-II. I'm an optimist on these things, but not in the 'build it and they will come' kind of way. It's the white elephant pessimists and economists who want nothing to do with large public space and infrastructure projects... You know, the people who won't vote for councils who want to improve public transport unless it includes enough enough car parks for them to park at the transfer stations......

Yah this is something that has annoyed me from the start with anti rugby people.

People are expecting the entire cost of all upgrades to be worn by the proceeds of the RWC, even things that benefit the country on an ongoing basis.

Australia have a lot of bad games, they seem to only step up when they play NZ.

No the cost of building is much greater than the ticket prices... But the motels hotels grocers jet boaters etc will get more business ... There will be an overall income gain by the country as a whole.

I disagree, property rates should not be used to fund the building of sporting venues. Is anybody aware of the financial meltdown in Europe. I have to live within a budget surely councils can be fiscally prudent with other peoples money.

A little discouraging watching namibia in the second half against the boks, though the boks made a LOT of mistakes. I can only hope they continue to make those same mistakes :)

Yeah, its hard for me to get a line on some of these games. SA looked to me to be loose. I thought NZ vs Japan which was a similar scoreline but Japan I reckon is a pretty promising team, well above Namibia.

Sad thing is that if IRE beat Oz, and we beat IRE, Oz can still beat NZ.

Yah I thought Nambia showed some great play, nice hands, good guarding of the ball in places, these teams just don't seem to be able to break defense. The Boks looked lethargic at times crossing the line.

Anyone can beat anyone on the day, we are the best team, but given the right circumstances, we could lose.

The Steynes are my worry :)

The way the SA can win is to do an England ... Tired forwards just tackle and let the steyns do droppies. Dont forget Francois hougaard can droppie as far as the long range stein.

As for the abs they are fresh but having decided on our best 15 today is like saying I quit drinking this morning. A bit freakish ... But let's see aye

The big game, will probably be a 10-6 affair. If it is, one bad pass, one lucky break could be make or break. But we have a great team, I love the faster, smaller guys, and I think we will have the smarts.

Those Steynes, yes. What I hope we stop doing, is giving away penalties in kickable range, I hate that, seems such a waste.
