I think Oz will win this match, mark my words. It seems batting last at night seems to be a lot harder. If it was a day game it would have been fine batting last on this pitch.

Marketing/rigged wise 2-2 works. But NZ at home 3-1 works with a dead rubber that OZ win big.

T20 is a lottery. Game 1 the dew and swing won it, game 2 an unlikely Guppy won it. Game 3 the ball always fell between fielders, and the openers contributed then everyone failed Kiwi batting wise. That was hopeless. Kiwis go well in front and choke elsewhere.

I was surprised that they continue with Jamieson. I was expecting them to bring in Milne as he is currently with the team as he is based in Wellington. I would like to see Milne in the next game.

Handle9: T20 with no crowd is bilge. Almost unwatchable.

Missing background, but its a 22 player match nit a 20,000 player match

Culture wise Australia play confident. If it fails, they still play confident. The cliche follow the process the score will look after itself works. Kiwis need confidence to play well otherwise we fold. Play not to lose and not to win doesn't work.

Good plan use the spinners solely to strangle the run rate. Wickets a bonus.

I’m glad we have Santner back. What astonishes me is why they didn’t let Chapman bowl any overs in the last game. With Ish the only spinner last game we were getting hammered as we didn’t have another spinner bowling at the other end.

Me too although I don't now much about Chapmans bowling. He can bat though. Two spinners that are very different is a help, and Santner can bat. Innings heading towards half over and  6 RR. OZ will, either have to accept a below par score or take risks.

If the Blackcaps bowl out Oz 140-150 they may be able to chase it and win.

2 world cup finals in a row, number one test ranking. What a failure.

It will be s cruisey win. Its getting a bit boring. T20 is a lottery, but we thump them game 1, wire game 2, get thrashed game 3, now its our turn to thump them?

Cricket is a 5 day game so when you have a 10 minute version you will always get varying results, but its weird when a team can't  buy a trick one night then doing everything the next then rinse and repeat.

@Handle9

2015 World Cup we played all matches at home until the final. 2019 World Cup we were lucky to even make it to the semis. We had the weakest opening partnership out of all the teams playing and that’s what cost us the final. We only got through net run rate.

Right now if the Blackcaps want to win trophies they need to select the best 11. Right now their current T20 side is not the best 11. For starters, they need to add Finn Allen opening with Devon Conway. Two, they need to bring back Ross Taylor at 5; and three, once Ferguson has recovered from his injury swap him out with Jamieson. I think the No 4 position needs to be between Siefert, Philips and Daryl Mitchell. It’s time to move on from Guptill.

I can’t believe we gave the final over to Jamieson. It sure look like the Blackcaps had full control of that game. I would have used Neesham instead. Jamieson has been leaking way too many runs for a T20 game.

Yeah nah. That side doesn't make any sense. I've posted enough times about why.

Yep. No doubt Guppy will contribute again tonight! Rest ranking wise, we have played a lot at home against many lesser sides so our numbers ticked up. I guess if we played a series against AUS or ENG our IND we would just win them all No.

Its fine to be a fan but you have to be realistic. Id rather have a nice team, play well and lose, than have an erratic team, play  lesser sides and rack them up. To earn No.1 you need to be honed against the best sides, and do the best. Playing lesser sides pre T20 WC will not help. You dont improve.
