It will be s cruisey win. Its getting a bit boring. T20 is a lottery, but we thump them game 1, wire game 2, get thrashed game 3, now its our turn to thump them?

Cricket is a 5 day game so when you have a 10 minute version you will always get varying results, but its weird when a team can't buy a trick one night then doing everything the next then rinse and repeat.

I can’t believe we gave the final over to Jamieson. It sure look like the Blackcaps had full control of that game. I would have used Neesham instead. Jamieson has been leaking way too many runs for a T20 game.

Do you think it might have had something to do with a tournament later this year? Jamieson needs to play in this situation.

2015 World Cup we played all matches at home until the final. 2019 World Cup we were lucky to even make it to the semis. We had the weakest opening partnership out of all the teams playing and that’s what cost us the final. We only got through net run rate.

Right now if the Blackcaps want to win trophies they need to select the best 11. Right now their current T20 side is not the best 11. For starters, they need to add Finn Allen opening with Devon Conway. Two, they need to bring back Ross Taylor at 5; and three, once Ferguson has recovered from his injury swap him out with Jamieson. I think the No 4 position needs to be between Siefert, Philips and Daryl Mitchell. It’s time to move on from Guptill.

Yeah nah. That side doesn't make any sense. I've posted enough times about why.

I do agree with that. He is a potential star and he can bat. Just needs to sort the length

Agree. Playing an AUS B team, at home, is a good chance to give the next gen a chance. Rather that than a full AUS team at the MCG, but yeah, no.

Macca mentioned earlier our top 6 batters. Again our top 6 batters is back to two doing the heavy lifting. And there we go, Kane out. No issue with Kane going out, it happens, but when you can't string more than two batters in any one game, its getting a bit hopeless. Despite a low score to beat, out RR has grown, now we are under pressure.

So, what were you saying about old guards like Guptill that can do the job for us lol.

It’s time to move on. Blackcaps seem to only play to lose than win. They could have picked a better side to play tonight.

Not sure how to describe this team, Undoubted potential, but the team psyche is delicate. This is not new.

I just dunno. The team is delicate if under pressure. To me the issue is between the ears than holding the bat or ball. Seen it all before.

It was, but it was for both sides. They got an 80 out of it and 3 in the teens. We got a 30 and 2 teens. To make matters worse one of the top 6 batters got 19 and he's on the chopping block, as is Jameson according to Macca, who got the highest score. We don't expect everyone to score 48, but it was poor. Australia as always fight hard when down, we choke. Its clearly not a skill issue, we have avery very nice side, but we continue to falter under any pressure. And we then do silly shots like Neesham ramping last game and Conway tried that this game, why resort to desperate high risk shots? Seriously, I feel they need a psychology coach. If its tough, play safe and score what little you can, holding onto wickets gives you options later. AUS looked poor battling away taking singles, but in retrospect that was the option to take on a tough slow pitch. If its hard and you dont get a high score, maybe thats the score for the day, just try and eek out what you can. But when you try to manufacture risk shots out of nothing, lose wickets its a downward spiral.Its not unusual for a Kiwi great win to actually be the result of one player. We need to be better than that. Battle hard and grind it out, dont falter under pressure and swing wild hoping for a miracle. I feel they need a psychology coach as they can't manage the tough times at all.

For all of you calling to put Finn Allen in, he won't be facing the Otago bowling attack.

He be facing good bowlers, this year in games against teams with good attacks he has been average.
