About to watch Quali, why is one DRS being removed? Safety issue? What safety issue? To cut back Ferrari?

They haven't said yet. Russell said it made safety worse for them as the drs zone reduced the purpoising and there the head bouncing.

A bit bizarre. Does that mean all hugh speed straights will have no DRS this season? I thought FIA called the rules.

As Brundle often says in green track conditions, or in the wet, there is grip you're driving too fast. In this case, your setup isn't right.

Jaxson:

McLaren have improved massively (at least in this qualifying outing) and super hoping this can continue into the race.

Yep, they look great now, I assume the brakes and the drag thereof has been fixed. No reason why they can't fight for 3rd in the Constructors with Mercedes and possibly Alpine.

RBR IMO  has the fastest lap car so far this season but Ferrari has the more drivable car. Race pace today will give us a bit more on that

Yeah. That just leaves too much speed?

Alonso seems to be the culprit that taught FIA all about safety, so his chance of being passed is now "safer"

Geez

Merc leads constructors for some reason

Ferrari to LeClerc 8 laps before the end

- don't worry you have the fastest lap noone will beat it

LeClerc to Ferrari - umm but ...

then last lap LC pumps in the fastest lap which if he didn't would have gone to Alonso

old habits die hard

Merc lead simply because their cars have finished all the races so far, even with lewis finishing 10th in the last race.

Yeah, he's a die hard Lewis fan..

Ferrari too strong, as FP's tended to show

George was very good, maximised what they have

Happy with this race. Mercedes look to have good race pace, Lewis was unlucky due to Georges SC position. McLaren looked on it. Happy that Max suffered a problem as I dislike him immensely and he wasn't going to challenge the Ferrari of Leclerk.

Poor tyre choice for Sainz in my opinion, should have been on the medium, would have got perez I think and really poor from Alpine and Alonso.

Not at all. I'm  sports fan and an F1 fan. Who was it thats been posting year in and year out about Lewis and Mercedes, then out of the blue stated he is a Max fan???

And if Merc win, first to post and if not last to post?

Its fine to have a fave, but good to be balanced

Most bizarre turn of events, albon lasting the entire race without stopping, chucking it in the pits for one lap on softs and stealing a point. Not half bad for a Williams how they've been recently.

Not really. Many teams such as Mercedes, Ferrari and RBR have had improvements that were subsequently banned. Its fair to question anything, it will be found fine or not fine

Made qualifying a bit painful to watch with the red flags. Clearly a bit old school with the stopped cars needing to be retrieved whilst stopping the other cars.
