Jvipers2:not sure where the pace from Norris came from
I read it was 10 for Norris and 5 for Piastri; they where good on the tyres and fast enough. RBR seemed to be quicker on the straights still but their car was sliding a lot more than the McLaren in the corners.
Both McLarens were quick today. Hopefully its not the case that its a one track result for them as it'll be great for the spectacle to have them vying for wins against Red Bulls and Ferrari. Looked like they were holding onto the tires well.

Jvipers2: What an amazing twist to the race today...not sure where the pace from Norris came from but amazing to see papaya on the top...unfortunate for Oscar though...
Lando had a lot of upgrades, and they have pushed the car forward, awesome. He had the fasted time in Quali, Q2 on mediums, that showed something.

In one way its a one race result, RBR wasnt stable, as was the case for other teams. BUTTT, McLarens upgrades worked, while the safety car obviously helped a lot, their pace was real. I watched a ghost car Q3 lap with Max and Charles. Both good, each were a bit better in different parts of the track and they are .14 apart. Lando aced that time in Q2 on mediums.
Ferrari have closed up somewhat to Red Bull, McLaren has closed up a lot. There will be more races like this for sure
Yuki great. Mercedes have stalled. Oscar unlucky.
Perez, wow. Now RBR need the other driver, not happening. And it wont.
RBR could do with someone like Valteri - fast enough in a fast car to be second but inconsistent enough to challenge the lead driver.

The Hulk has my vote, he outdrives whatever less than stellar car he has, but he's taken now.

Watched the F1 TV post race show this evening. Had a nice interview with Will (Lando's race engineer). Interestingly he "let slip" they predict their upgrades to suit some other tracks more than Miami.

I can see that. Its real. I can see races where Max edges away nicely, some where McLaren are just a bit better, and some, hopefully many, were it's nip and tuck. Im seeing Ferrari a really solid 3rd but only 3rd. Why I say that is Miami was really good for Ferrari, bad for Red Bull, so there is a gap there. McLaren, well as I keep saying, its real. Miami last year fir McLaren? 75 SECONDS behind. Zak said when asked about Newey, he was diplomatically saying we are fine. He was clearly correct.
Pfwoah. McLaren fan. Didn't watch live. Spent all day avoiding news and social media. No idea about result. Watched the replay tonight with not-at-all-little-anymore-miss MDF. Totally convinced even after the safety car that Max would easily reel Lando in. About 5 laps to go started to hope... We're both still buzzing an hour on. This is the stuff that makes sport magic. So cool that at least half the grid congratulated Lando for his first win.
You don't see it in F1 very often, but that was pretty special. He genuinely deserved that, and its more sweet because Max was right behind him and couldn't reel him in. Not like the Sainz victory where Max crashed out.
Max was right there and Lando bet him on pace. Pretty much everyone gave him a hug which was cool to see.
Riccardo had a proper nightmare in the main race. How long has he actually got?. He was suppose to be comforably beating Yuki by now. His days are numbered. I'd love to know if anyone is talking to Lawson outside the Redbull group.
