networkn: Wow I really felt for Australia losing both Cooper and Beale. The second I saw Cooper go down I knew what had happened. I really felt for him. He had played well up until that point. I don't like the guy, but I think the boo'ing is just BS and it's such a shame for him to exit that way.

next: anyone who thinks the french won't play ball need a shake up ... it sounds like it's gonna be one giantic tussle ... i know we all want to see a big try fest ... so does everyone ... but ...

i watched twickenham 1999 - that was no fluke.

i watched millenium stadium 2007 - that was no flair but 100% conviction and 99% brain explosion.

Wales almost beat France, should have won.
AB's over powered Australia
Australia was not dominant over Wales tonight.

We overpowered Australia, and on recent games , France is 3rd of the above top 3.

Did we boo Cooper? I didnt hear that, pity if we did.

Why didn't Wales do what they did in the last 10 minutes from early on. They made such good ground on most pushups. That pressure chnages the game, makes the opposition think again.

what i saw today was tired people, tired tired welsh who played at 150% 6 days ago. and very very tired aussies who played 5 days ago.

Agreed, I said the same thing to my wife!

games can open up after 60 minutes because of fatigue, and change of playmakers and defenders with different styles and strengths

If France try hard, use brains unlike last week, and now the AB's have exposed their plays, I guess it will be closer than what my "numbers game" above shows. But on the other hand, if the AB's gradually build up a lead, I reckon they will go hard with a running game (or bigger running game) and back their ball skills last 15 or 20 mins and blow out a decent lead. And I also reckon they will use their brains and not tie up, or play safe, and give us the perfect final effort. It just has that feel of a well timed and planned preperation.

The only concern, that I have seen with myself in sport (Table Tennis) If I know I am the better player and I know I should win, playing best of 5 allows me to play my game. Stats will take care of it for me. If its on ONE game, I tie up. Thinking "I am better, but I might get a run of bad luck and he gets a run of good luck" and in ONE game, I can lose as its not long enough to allow stats to even out. So I play safe, and off course lose, as I gave away chances to win a point and unintentionally relied on him losing points. Crossing fingers that this applies only to me and not the boys.

sorry but actually there was sarcasm in there ... something tells me the french know something we don't ... so watch out boys ... please be accurate!

The good thing about having Henry at the helm for this game is experience, unfortunately painful experience. I know they will be aware of the different faces of French rugby - my only concern - is which French team will turn up on Sunday?

2007 was painful but I think 1999 was worse when we were so far ahead after the first half. I am sure at the break we will be ahead, the 2nd half is when mental toughness after a long campaign. Not just the 6 RWC games so far, but other tests this year to date.

If the forwards play with the passion they did last week, Weepu and Cruden on the front foot with Nonu at pace and both wingers on song we will get across the line. Weepu I hope will kick better and if the scoreboard is ticking along regular in our favour then 1987 history will repeat itself.

but i think that's a disguise to something other tactics they have in mind ... i guess we will have to watch on telly what actually happens!

1) targetting players with hard hits is normal. every decent team used to smash jonny wilkinson to the ground at every hit. and he played with tournament with broken ribs. our legends umaga and mealamu speared BOD causing a career threatening injury during the lions tour. afterall we threaten to slit our opponents' throats before the game don't we?

2) illegal play - the boks english and french are notorious for cheap shots. the aussies (george smith) and kiwis (???) for clever infringement. i remember taine randall being bitten by the french and it was caught on camera but nothing happened.

having said that this french team has more flair and strength and they have shown ... if they decide to show up that is.

very stressful game, but we won. congrats to the boys, they deserve it. they have performed their best for RWC 2011!
