Jaxson:

a) it's working perfectly for just one constructor

b) there are both drivers and constructors championship awards

a) I said "in that", referring to how the series is run and why it suits the constructor, so for them, it works perfectly. There will only ever be one constructor it works for in any given year, but my point is its all based on Constructors.

b) Yes there are. The revenue for the teams is by way of constructors points, not drivers points. The team pays all the bills, gets all the revenue, owns the cars, employs the drivers, chooses the drivers, control the strategy, decide who gets the worst of the alternate strategy, who pits first, who cannot pass, (the teammate) who can pass (their teammate) As commentators always say its a team sport and the team is the Constructor. If they construct best, they win, thats the series. The drivers are what the fans follow, so we get millions of driver fans watching a race managed by the car owner, the car owner does not care who the driver is, not UNTIL they have managed the best points outcome for the team, which is their revenue stream

I was just this moment thinking that. I have Sky, a few things to ponder. I'd say they wont release pricing to close to release. Probably just days before is my guess

Not inspiring for any hope of a favorable price. I would have thought if that was the case then we'd already have some numbers.

Fingers crossed it's accessible, both in terms of how you connect/stream it tech wise, and pricing structure as well.

It wont be offered here, as Spark has the rights. Is it possible that these might be included or that Sparks rights are in fact for F1TV?

Yeah, the full pro version is basically offered in countries where the rights have not been offered to a sole broadcaster.

If they continue the sole rights holder here in NZ, which it looks like they are doing, I doubt we'll be offered access to the pro F1TV option.

Chucking in a country like Austria, it's approx $110 NZD per year for full F1TV pro, so that's the real world benchmark target for me.

I'll see what Spark offer, but i'm tempted to go dns4me and F1TV Pro next year and be done with it.

we dont know the extent of Sparks rights as far as i have read.

there are countries that air F1 and still have F1TV pro available.

i would pay for F1TV Pro but probably still download the linux ISOs instead as the quality is superior than what F1TV offer (and even sky nz)

its hard to go backwards. Spark would need to match the quality SKY UK offer for me to sign up to Spark.
