This sort of thing probably has to go to court to setup a legal precedent. It was interesting to hear that promoter guy justifying the high pay per view price, by saying that people could watch it for free at a bar. Or if 10 people paid $5 per head, they could all watch from a TV. But if you watch at a bar, you have to pay for drinks etc, as they won't want you in the bar not buying anything. I am not sure how many people Sky allow to watch a single TV broadcast, before it is considered a commercial viewing, and require a commercial payment. If people are paying $5, the TV owner could be making a profit if a few more people turned up to watch it. But it does appear that this fight was more expensive to watch than previous ones. For this sort of thing I just go to my local cossie club to watch for free as I don't subscribe to sky, although I wasn't interested in watching this fight at all. The highlights on the news is all that is worth watching IMO.
