Wicket has changed, the wind has changed, and SL batted better than normal last innings.

IF NZ bowl well and field well, 316 is very defendable and will put SL under a lot of pressure from the get go.

We have both Boult and Southee today as well as Sodhi.

It all comes down to how we defend the total. But if Captaincy is good and fielding follows captain, SL dont have the batting lineup to get passed that.

Can Latham adapt and score at 90 SR and rotate?

Latham already has 86 SR. Hes not a big hitter, already a rotater sort, but he bats up the order, will be hard to know where to put him and Nichols. As keeper he should be 6 but hes a better batsman than Nichols imo.

It looks healthy though if Taylor is the first to resurrect an opening slump, Nichols, Latham, Neesham, even with a top 3 failure we can still score big.

Boult bowling 4-5 perfect line and length, then 1 goes for 4 due to being wide and waste height. Not sure we have got our bowling and fielding right yet, which WILL give SL a sniff if we get to 35 overs and havnt fixed it.

This is why we need Williamson bowling in the Tests, hes a better Test bowler.

Wow Seifert thats an insane keepers catch. Had a good game this one both bat and gloves. Im waiting until the name him to score more runs so he can show what he can do with the bat. Its his keeping that is what they want improvement on, and he is.

Flap thats a Warne level wronging from Sodhi to bowl their number 2 batsman. He could easily have another 2 wickets as well. His spin is just getting more and more deceptive.

Great throw Neesham and FAST hands from Seifert, both having blinders.

This is more what we expected from Sri lanka, they really need Matthews back and the top order to perform along with Perera smashing scores like 80/40, but its a 1/10 times they will perform as well as last match without Matthews imo.

What is Southee doing bowling 4 full tosses in a row. Come on. Again the bowling and fielding let us down. They should have been all out at 180. But credit to Parera, freakish things can happen in credit, hes seeing baloons.
