It is hard to believe that the beneficiaries of ball-tampering (the bowlers) knew nothing about it.
Delete cookies?! Are you insane?!

SOOOOO true. Perhaps they should have a smaller ban.
But I find it hard if the Coach knew, people above him probably had heard it was occuring. I think this is sandpapergate !
I just read what Candice Warner has to say about it. What is the pin up girl doing commenting on it?
Either way the discussion shouldnt have partners out there saying their piece publicly, it just looks worse. I do wonder if Dave new she was going to do that, surely not or he would have told her its his problem to sort out and live with publicly.
Dont get me wrong, attractive women can be very smart, but not warranted in this situation. Should have left the dust to settle and let the person involved make statements.
Id love to see SS go under lie detector and keep asking him chronologically which matches they ball tampered. And Id want those results over turned.

Ugh as if I liked Warner before all this happened but the way they used their children with the media during their arrival back into Australia summed them up perfectly.
I think Smith carried himself better if you ignore the fact he was the captain and acted like it was no big deal at the beginning...
I thought the punishments were quite serious but appropriate given that it involved the captain and vice-captain. I think Bancroft's punishment was possibly a bit harsh given he was relatively new to the team and likely easily influenced. Would love to have been a fly on the wall when Warner/Smith originally approached him with the idea...
Personally, I'm done with the saga. It's happened, they have been punished (no surprise Warner was considering an appeal), there are worse things going on that could occupy the media's time and resources.

I agree , its done. SS and B have accepted the consequences. DW didnt but has now, as he has to. So a -1 to him. SS and B can come back in 12 months time clean, and get back into cricket. I firmly believe once you done your time, its even. DW has hung on to long for an out. As he planned all this, he should have been the one to own up FIRST, not LAST
