not impressed with Spark Sport so far. tried some WEC and last F1 race via Chrome, all suffered from inconsistent FPS -unwatchable.
image quality / bitrate seemed OK, no buffering it has creating a large buffer, but the FPS was a disgrace as if a 10 year old had a crack at it with HandBreak.

Try it with a recent version of Firefox please. Be interested to know if you have the same issue there.

Sounds to me like the auto quality dropped down as it's detected your connection isn't preforming.
if your getting shuddering try pausing and hitting play again.
FPS issues sound like a machine issue though.

machine is only a i7 8700K 32GB Ram with a GTX1070 on a Bigpipe Gigabit Fibre connection, what do you recommend as been suitable to run Spark Sport?
Strangely i can use plex/emby/youtube/f1tv and every other video service i have ever tried with no issues at all in the same browser.
Sorry for been a smart ass - but dont jump to the conclusion its the customers problem on your just released service.

machine issue i count browser related issues under.
as noted above, Try a different browser.
I'm not jumping to conclusions, but i am counting out a wider issue given the general feedback.

In sad news just before the start of the season - FIA Statement - Charlie Whiting
FIA Director of Formula One, Charlie Whiting, has sadly passed away this morning (14 March 2019), in Melbourne, aged 66, as the result of a pulmonary embolism, three days before the Australian Grand Prix which will open the F1 season. He began his F1 career in 1977 working at the Hesketh team, then in the 1980s at Brabham. He has been an integral part of the organisation of the FIA Formula One World Championship since he joined the Federation in 1988, and has been the Race Director since 1997.
FIA President Jean Todt said: “It is with immense sadness that I learned of Charlie’s sudden passing. I have known Charlie Whiting for many years and he has been a great Race Director, a central and inimitable figure in Formula One who embodied the ethics and spirit of this fantastic sport. Formula 1 has lost a faithful friend and a charismatic ambassador in Charlie. All my thoughts, those of the FIA and entire motor sport community go out to his family, friends, and all Formula One lovers.”

Very sad news. RIP.
A pox on Spark for killing my 30 year adventure of watching Formula One on TV.
I'll be dammed if I am going to fork out for Chromecast as well as the app.
I'll find another way of watching the races free on the internet 😒

Its funny old world, Sky gets bashed, so we get competition, and that gets bashed! Oh well. Main thing is the F1 is not only up and running on Spark, its FTA as well this race weekend.
Hurry up 1-30pm. I expect there will be a small feature on Charlie, which will be nice
