Does entropay work for itunes? Downcast work for cbs or xbox, but you can still use it to but us gift cards in amazon store 😝

My kiwibank card works just fine for hulu Netflix and amazon prime

Buyfrompowerseller are fine. I've used them several times over the space of two or three years. A lot of the cards on EBay are bought with stolen credit cards and you risk having your card cancelled, or your account. My sister said her Loaded Everyday card from Kiwibank works with Hulu but they're not issuing new ones. They also do a Loaded For Travel debit Visa that might work.has anyone tried one?

True that... The way "carding" works is by stealing credit card numbers and selling those to thieves who will in turn buy things at retail prices paying with credit cards then selling on eBay for cheap - since they never spent a cent on the actual item, whatever comes in from these auctions is profit.

That's why you can find cheap, brand new, original Prada bags on eBay. And gift cards being traded at 70% of the face value. If you see these, it's likely the result of stolen cards.

Yeah, I got a cheap Hulu card last year before I realised where it had probably come from, and I felt awful. Amazingly, it worked and never got cancelled, but I would never go down that route again.

I've decided to get a Loaded For Travel Visa from Kiwibank and cancel my OneSmart - the Kiwibank card has no ongoing fees apart from a $20 set up (as long as you use it a certain way) so will be cheaper than OneSmart to maintain. If it works for Hulu, etc, it will be a bonus. I'll report back when I've got one.

@freitasm - when you cancelled your OneSmart, did you get any info about how to keep collecting airpoints?

I didn't cancel my OneSmart, I just cashed out the balance to my bank account. I will continue to use it to collect AirPoints Dollars.

I don't think it will work. I checked their website and used the fake card number there to check the BIN (Bank Identification Number - the first six digits of the card) and it reports as "NZ" so I doubt it would work.

To be clear, my eBay recommendation wasn't to buy cards. I recommended Paypal Digital Gifts on eBay which are the approved eBay seller of digital vouchers. You pay for what you want and they email you the voucher code within 24 hours. Reliable with over a 1/4 million sales and 5 star ratings and you don't pay any middlemen fee's like you do elsewhere. I've used them heaps and never let me down. Again, the approved eBay seller for digital codes and sometimes they're discounted too.

Yes they do, they've pretty much got every US card available. The only catch is its US only, so will only work with a US Paypal account. I've created a US Paypal account but with a NZ Credit Card and works fine for me.

Out of interest I checked my old OneSmart BIN (the one that worked) and it also registers as NZ, so I remain hopeful! If the Loaded For Travel BIN is the same as the Loaded Everyday card that does work, we could still be in luck. I'll let you know how it goes.

Yep, date validation didn't work for me and not prepared to spend any more time on it.

My present balance is $4.10 NZ which they are welcome to!

When I was in Europe in July, it was rubbish - only let me get out small sums of money and pretty sure fees on top.

I would look for another option next time.

Okay, I am now the proud owner of a Loaded For Travel card. I stupidly didn't put money on it while I was at Kiwibank, which would have been instant, but I've set up an internet payment to go on Monday. Once it has a balance in the US wallet I'll have a go at registering it with Hulu and iTunes.

For me the biggest benefit of OneSmart is the 3 free ATM withdrawls which often balances the poorer exchange rate. Great for the odd trip to AU or UK and the clear any remaining balance next time I'm at the supermarket.

Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.
