I am trying to contact air nz via their 0800 numbers but cant contact feom last 3 days. Call is connected and then getting disconnected after initual announcement that they are experiencing high volume of calls.

Cant manage booking online because it prompts to contact them at 0800 number.

Has anyone experienced this ? Any other way to contact them ?
Thanks

I think it’s to be expected given the circumstances, perhaps try their direct number, 09 357 3000.

Air NZ is processing a huge number of calls, as it would be expected. Persist in your attempts.

You could try email?

Aside from that, they published a media release yesterday saying 'bare with them'..... it seems like the whole world is calling them.

Keep trying online and phone

If you're not flying within the coming days maybe wait a bit and try later this week. With those travel restrictions you'll be waiting in a queue of possibly hundreds of people, if not more. Good luck! No easy way out other than perseverance I'm afraid.

Apaprently Air NZ are taking no more calls at times due to the massive wait times - at least several hours. Unless you have travel within the next 48 hours I suggest you take their official advice they're promoting - which is not to call unless you have travel within the next 48 hours.

If your travel is weeks away there is zero point in trying to contact them at present and taking up a CSR who could be helping somebody with more important needs, such as trying to get back into NZ before tonight.

Things are going to get far worse over the next few days as they progressively cancel a significant percentage of their flights for the coming months.

Air NZ has asked for those who are not traveling in the next 72 hours (from last night) not too call yet.

If you don't have an immediate need to talk to them, i.e. queries about travel that's booked for within the next few days, leave it until mid-week before trying again.

Just got an email from Air NZ, subject "a COVID-19 update from Air New Zealand", which says

More people to support customer queries.

Air New Zealand is boosting the size of its Contact Centre and Social Media Customer Care teams to be able to deal with the surge of queries and travel change requests.
