After watching Seven Sharp last night, I am led to believe the currency you are talking about is the Northshore Barry (named after Hillary, who lives there).

I believe the origin of the "Barry" is highly debated amongst the separatists, and there is a large faction who believe its origin is related to the local MP Maggie Barry,

Representatives from the People front of Judea and the Judean peoples front have been called in to help settle this once and for all.. :)
