On Sunday, Trump said during a campaign rally in New York that he would let Robert F. Kennedy Jr “go wild on food” and “go wild on medicines” if he wins in November.

CNN: “The key that I think I’m – you know, that President Trump has promised me is – is control of the public health agencies, which are HHS and its sub-agencies, CDC, FDA, NIH and a few others, and then also the USDA, which is – which, you know, is key to making America healthy.

That is not the guy you want to have control over which treatments are available on Medicare and which are not.

So if RFK Jr is in charge, I guess it is roadkill bear and brain worms for everyone.

From AP news

"Days after Robert F. Kennedy Jr. admitted to taking a bear carcass from the side of the road and placing it in Central Park as a prank a decade ago, he said that has been picking up roadkill his 'whole life' and once had a 'freezer full of it' at home."

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. had a brain worm caused by a parasitic infection known as neurocysticercosis, which is typically caused by the pork tapeworm, Taenia solium. This condition occurs when someone ingests the eggs of the tapeworm, often through contaminated food or water. The eggs can travel to the brain and form cysts, leading to symptoms like memory loss and brain fog

"Mr. Kennedy posted a comment on his X profile. 'I offer to eat 5 more brain worms and still beat President Trump and President Biden in a debate,' the post read. “I feel confident in the result even with a six-worm handicap.'"

He's probably not wrong about Trump, anyway...

Couple of interesting reads from today:

https://www.thebulwark.com/p/election-deniers-are-ready-for-next >> Election deniers are all ready for next week. But so are the people ready to stop them

If you're feeling depressed about a possible Trump win in the election (like I am) this story gives me a little bit of optimism: https://archive.ph/uc3qU

(just a little)

It seems incredible Harris was releasing a new plan for Puerto Rico alongside "Mr" Bunny just hours before this insanely fascist, racist and misogamist rally in MSG. The timing of it all.

This was a quick ad put together and put out. What I find so lame by many yanks, This notion Puerto Rico is not the US, they do not have the same rights etc is so ignorant.

So in every swing State they make up easily enough to be the difference in each state. She should ride this home. some are insulted yet voting Don, young males, but this is all she needs to cap close ones like az, NC, Georgia (those last two are very close and could ccount any danger of losing a blue wall state) and of course to cement the blue wall states. The numbers are there.

What seems incredible is any "undecided" still thinking of Trump as a valid alternative.

I think Gender is also a huge part of it. Shes a bit of all what keeps the male undecided voter up at night. Despite having really solid economics policies. although I do wish they pumped these short easily digestible ads out much earlier, vs magic Tariffs.

edit: it might have a bigger impact than I was expecting. It wouldn't take much for either candidate to end up in a landslide by small numbers.

It surprises me any conservative Trump supporter would object to the multiple racist and boundlessly stupid comments made by the rally comedian. All of those 'jokes' were entirely consistent with all the racist and boundlessly stupid things Trump himself says over and over again.

Indeed, discussed in here (under "No Joke"): https://www.thebulwark.com/p/what-trumps-first-100-days-would

Yesterday, Donald Trump had a rally in Atlanta at which he spoke at length. He also chose not to address the ‘joke.’

This is no surprise, I suppose, but it’s still worth noting: Neither Trump nor Vance has directly or personally repudiated this statement made at the signature rally of their campaign.

By the way, about this statement: Is it a joke, as Vance calls it? Sure, a comedian uttered it. But there’s no humor, no irony, no punch line to it. It wasn’t funny or comical. It’s just an expression of bigotry. Those who enjoyed it—I gather there were some who did—did so because they enjoyed sharing in the bigotry.

What would be funny, in an ironic sort of way, would be if this comment makes a difference. After everything else over the last nine years, everything said and done by Trump, it would be a nice joke if a surrogate’s remark at the last moment made a difference.

There has been a large shift in the markets over the last 2 days. Harris has slipped from 44% chance of winning to 37%

There must be some strong poll results going on for Trump, because swings that large don't "just happen".

Oh great. Election Day isn't even here yet, and we're already hearing the whines of "election fraud" and "election interference" from the orange buffoon and his friends:

I hope he gets locked away for a long time! At least until after the election.

But most interestingly, it seems the people most likely to commit voter fraud, such as people voting twice or setting ballot boxes on fire are the Republican's MAGA.

Every accusation is a confession.

These people are deplorable.

Elon Musk hat during Trump rally.

The font has been compared to the Fraktur font, which was used in Nazi Germany.

Came across this series on CNN today. It's a really interesting look at all the events in the leadup to the election starting with Biden dropping out, right up to Harris's ascent to Democratic nominee.

It's running every day this week. Here's the first three days:

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/28/politics/american-battleground-biden-trump-debate/index.html

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/29/politics/christianity-wrestling-trump-analysis/index.html

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/30/politics/american-battleground-kamala-harris-brat-summer/index.html

I'll post the links to the last two when they're on the CNN site. Hope you find it as interesting as I did 🙂
