kingdragonfly:  Deeply conservative, they organize online and outside the Republican Party apparatus, engaging in more explicit versions of the chest-beating seen at the president’s rallies. ...

The thing about Trump is he and his enablers are in the process of stealing American democracy and no-one seems to care enough to do anything about it.

DarthKermit:

Nobody has a bigger ego than Trump:

Vice missed all his "I know more about ... than anyone"

"I know more about drones than anybody. I know about every form of safety that you can have."

"I know more about ISIS than the generals do."

"I know more about courts than any human being on Earth."

"Who knows more about lawsuits than I do? I'm the king."

"I understand politicians better than anybody."

"I know more about renewables than any human being on Earth."

"I understand money better than anybody."

"I think I know about it better than the Federal Reserve."

"I know more about missiles than anybody. "

The Washington Post - Trump is openly calling for his trial to be as corrupt as possible

Jan. 1, 2020

One of the thorniest challenges of this moment is the difficulty of finding language adequate to capturing President Trump’s actual, openly stated positions.

They are often so profoundly ridiculous or nakedly corrupt, or so audaciously saturated with bad faith, that we struggle to find ways to clearly convey what he’s genuinely telling us.

Case in point: Trump is now openly calling for his impeachment trial to be converted into something that is purely devoted to serving his own political needs - one that only includes witnesses that will help him keep smearing potential 2020 opponent Joe Biden, but has no meaningful relevance whatsoever to the corrupt conduct for which he has been impeached.

Incredibly, this comes as Senate Republicans push for a trial that features none of the witnesses who actually do have direct knowledge of that very same corrupt conduct.

Trump just made all this very explicit:

Update: Biden campaign spokesman Andrew Bates responds to Trump’s tweet:

It makes sense that Donald Trump is going into 2020 bawling like he’s about to get fired.

He was caught red-handed committing an unprecedented offense that no American president - not even Richard Nixon - stooped to: undermining our national security by trying to force a foreign country to lie about the political opponent he fears the most.

He’s also literally the most corrupt president in the history of our country, and as the Vice President has said, he should finally stop breaking his promise to release his tax returns or shut up.

Now that Kim has extracted maximum advantage and propaganda photos from the hopelessly outclassed unstable moron, it is back to business as usual.

And in Iraqi soil. Hitting the Baghdad International Airport. Is no one wondering how they can get away with this?

Let's see: Bullying, bribing and blackmailing other countries. Mr pea brain is too dense to comprehend what he's just unleashed and how many more people will die because of it.

The New York Times - Top Iranian General Qassim Suleimani Is Killed on Trump’s Orders

today

... In Iran, the leadership convened an emergency security meeting.

And the country’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a statement calling for three days of public mourning and then retaliation.

His departure to God does not end his path or his mission,” the statement said, “but a forceful revenge awaits the criminals who have his blood and the blood of the other martyrs last night on their hands.” ...

But this could bring on the "End of Days"...let the rapture begin...

This smacks of trying to win back the religious right with the blood of young men.
