It's different when the president does it. It's worse. If you can, please give to the ACLU and other organizations that defend protestors.

Showbiz Cheatsheet: Fox News' Sean Hannity's divorce could cost him more than you think

Sean Hannity is a high-profile conservative political commentator, well known for his lengthy tenure on Fox News. Although many of Hannity’s controversial comments have caused him to land in hot water over the years, he has a passionate fan base of supporters and those who believe that he is a shining star of the Republican Party, as well as the far-right in general.

Still, Hannity is in the news for other reasons lately, when it was revealed that Hannity and his wife of several decades had decided to divorce. Ultimately, Hannity’s divorce could be a major blow to his wealth and status.

...Hannity’s announcement didn’t feature any information about financial arrangements or whether there was a prenuptial agreement. However, due to the fact that Rhodes and Hannity were married before Hannity became the celebrity commentator that he is now, it seems likely that there was never any sort of formal agreement between them.

Hannity is notoriously successful on Fox News and has a reported net worth of around $250 million, but it is very likely that he is worth even more than that....

Sure, I guess if you overlook the nationwide protests, the climbing coronavirus toll and his slipping poll numbers...

The thing about Trump is just when you think he's gone as low as he can, he reaches a new low.

"Real Time with Bill Maher" was good this week.

I haven't enjoyed his last episodes, since they were about health, which isn't his strong suit. This was was about Trump and American police brutality, and Biden's VP choices.

A bit of background about his rapper guest below Killer Mike. His music is political and angry. He has been a has been a vocal Civil Rights advocate over the years. His t-shirt "Kill Your Masters" is often worn, and caused some consternation. I'd recommended searching Youtube for Killer Mike's other commentaries on recent events.

Note the following is just the beginning of Bill Maher's interview with Killer Mike. What's left out is a long discussion about gun ownership, which both Bill and Killer Mike encourage.

Note this in not the thread to discuss gun rights.

To get the whole interview, Google "Real.Time.with.Bill.Maher.2020.06.05"

Credit where credit's due - the doofus has finally managed to draw crowds comparable to Obama's inauguration.

Thousands of demonstrators streamed into the nation’s capital on Saturday, in the largest local protests so far over police brutality and racial oppression in the United States. On a hot and humid day, people carrying protest signs marched, many with their children, toward the area around the besieged White House, where authorities used tan military Humvees and dump trucks to cordon off large sections to vehicle traffic.

Not strictly correct - I remember a few protests after he took office that had larger crowds than his inauguration; one was a women's rights protest, from memory.

There have been some feeble attempts to compare Trump to Churchill as a 'war-time' leader rallying his people against an evil invader. As the barricades and police and humvees grow thicker around the White House, I am reminded more of that other guy frothing in his bunker in Berlin as the Russians approached. That seems like a much more accurate comparison to me.

How low can you go?

The Washington Post - The Five Minute  Fix

today

Late in the past week, a disturbing video went viral showing police shoving a 75-year-old protester in Buffalo. He lies on the sidewalk, bleeding.

That man is still hospitalized. Martin Gugino is a local activist who focuses on affordable housing and human rights ...

Two police officers involved have been charged with assault.

But Tuesday morning, President Trump shared a totally different - and totally baseless - theory about this incident, which has become another searing symbol of police brutality: That Gugino faked part of his fall because he’s a member of antifa ...

(Gugino was carrying a mobile phone when he was shoved)
