nathan:

Nothing will fundamentally change in America because Biden is owned by his donors.

That is the same argument being pushed by the pro-Trump / anti Hillary trolls on Breitbart, 4Chan etc 4 years ago.
Trump is a monster - Biden isn't.

nathan: Everything here becomes partisan

What a pathetic choice American voters have to choose from, 2 old white rich corrupt rapists

This lesser-of-two-evils game, the establishment forces us to play, is bankrupt

The Democratic establishment specifically rigged it by coalescing around the weakest candidate, Joe, all to stop Bernie. We are not allowed nice things like a single-payer-national-health-system because of Health Insurance company donors - legalized corruption

I’d have more respect for Biden supporters if they’d stop acting like he’s a great candidate. He’s a terrible candidate and won’t bring any of the fundamental change needed. The only thing going for him is he’s not Trump. That’s it. America deserves better.

It seems the biggest selling point for voting for Biden is, he isn’t Trump. Biden’s campaign is trying to rewrite history, no he didn’t :

-support anti-American worker globalization policies and TPP
-create the prison industrial complex, targeting African Americans with longer sentences, more for-profit prisons and escalating the war on drugs
-cheerlead the Iraq war invasion for George W and get him votes
-propose building a southern border wall 10 years before Trump
-gaslight voters that they don’t want a revolution
-say racist things like “I don’t want my children to grow up in a jungle. A racial jungle”
-give sweeping powers to the national security state to spy on Americans
-use strategic racism to rile his base

Biden’s shortlist for cabinet positions is a shocker, disgusting corrupt neoliberal elitists. It’s back to the future.

Among the names floated:
former Mayor Mike Bloomberg at the World Bank
Sen. Elizabeth Warren as treasury secretary
former Mayor Pete Buttigieg as the UN ambassador or US trade representative.
Biden is also reportedly considering JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon and Bank of America Vice Chairman Anne Finucane for senior positions at the Treasury.
John Kerry (!)
Susan Rice
Sally Yates

Nothing will fundamentally change in America because Biden is owned by his donors.

And the biggest selling point for voting Trump is, he's not all that you listed.

That's a lose lose. So it really is anybody's guess.

The bit about stopping Bernie, that's the tragedy. Bernie was on track.

Great comment from Soylent News:

Yeah, American conservatives are weird.

I'm going to the pub on Saturday, and the rugby on Sunday safe in the knowledge I won't get sick because our government is sane, and we more or less trust the advice we were given.

Meanwhile they're frothing at the mouth ranting about their rights, and how some country they had never heard of before last Tuesday didn't do what we did and got better.

Somewhere I asked about Trump refusing to leave office if he loses but I can't find it now.  Further to that, I note that Biden and other Democratic leaders are seriously discussing this possibility. Biden says he is confident the military would remove him in such a case. Maybe, maybe not, but what they are talking about is civil war. Who would have thought it in the good old USA?

Absolutely. But let's face it, all politicians do.

Its pathetic that America gets to choose between 2 such disgusting bold face liars

Biden has a long history of lying - about himself, about his past and about events that never took place.

Democrats want the 2020 campaign to be a referendum on Trump. Therefore it is only appropriate that Joe Biden's history of fabrication and deceit - often intended to bolster his intellectual credentials - also be fair game.

Lying or dementia?

Which in itself is a scary thing to have to ask about a presidential candidate: Is he deliberately lying or just so far gone that he's living in a fantasy world?

Your posts are giving me the willies, Champ.

You keep comparing Biden and Trump as though they are of equal awfulness.

Trump is an utterly revolting human being and is clearly a worse human being than some of the nasty animals in our countries jails, let alone Biden.
